Here is older interview with him that is very telling

My goodness. Wow.
Its hard to listen to. This kid really needed help like he couldn't speak in a complete sentence

This **** is not even funny. Actually blew me away. Wish the young man the best, but it's unfortunate how the adults in his life allowed this to be ok!

I wasn't trying to be funny. I'm watching this and seeing his mom right next to him and wondering how she doesn't see this as a problem. He needed help and support and his own mother wasn't giving it to him it seems like

Honest question is he mentally challenged ?

I have a degree in EXE so I guess I'm a little knowledgeable on the topic. I wouldn't say he is mentally challenged, but more so he has a learning disability along with a speech impediment. Add that to being a supreme talent on the football field and jc Jackson is typically the end result. I cut the video off early but if that was his mother who was speaking she sounded educated for the few seconds I heard her. Football was this kids life and he couldn't pull it all together. What a shame.

You guys are talking about this kid wilder sounds even worst.

Worst or worse???? Right this is nothing different, a lot of athletes I have met
Or known over the years are not focused on academics ...

Simone gives them a pass because that can shoot, dunk, run, tackle or score touchdowns

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Ebonics and text jibberish making it even worse for the many AA kids that have a speech impediment and or difficulty with English. If they ever wrote a sentence with proper grammar structure would surprise me. Making me wonder why aren't teachers, parents and administrators identifying the issues and correcting them long before a kid is determined eligible for college. This kid like Wilder cannot speak a proper sentence or respond properly to a simple question.

It may be the reason that Richt passed on JC and is supposedly cooling on Wilder. If Richt is concerned about the guys staying eligible academically, that would make some sense. The bad interviews could also be because of nerves as well.Hopefully that is it.Kids do sometimes get passed along because they have a particular sports talent and the teachers are probably encouraged to do so.It's a **** shame for the kids that it happens as it is only hurting them in the long run.If the don't make it to the pros, then what?

My guess is people are just afraid to correct anyone because they are concern with the reaction,it's not just young people even retired athletes when they work on tv they routinely misspeak and nobody is willing to try to correct them.It is what it is.

Maybe his production this year is an example of why staff backed off him...maybe, just maybe, he's not that good

See, that's not how it works. If we didn't get him, he's the greatest. Maybe he didn't look good this year but that's just because he wasn't at Miami.

29 tackles and 1 pick doesn't tell you much about how a cornerback played.

29 solo tackles (11 assisted) isn't bad for a cb. Burns had 26 last year.

Elder also only had 1 interception this year.
