6’0-6’2 you want on the boundary..
Ya but they don’t all have to be that way. If they’re 6’1 and run well I’m all for it. But guys like Hodges and Ivey don’t run all that well.

He claims those speeds on HUDL but in actual high school track he is in the mid 11s at 100m.He’s a take..he has the athleticism profile to play DB..it’s not that hard of a transition tbh. If your athleticism is on par the techniques can be learnt quickly..plenty of successful WR to DB transitions have been made
Depends on what you want out of your scheme and DBs ivey fits we want to do on the outside imo. We want our guys close to the LOS and physical. But in situations on the inside you want to play man underneath a kid like this, couch, hopefully bandy next year with emerging of Williams on the outside..Ivey, Williams and Blades run well enough, but I wouldn’t want them covering man to man all over the fieldYa but they don’t all have to be that way. Yes. That would be my only concern. But like I said he was playing wing back in whatever wingT offense they was using so I think he might have a mentality for contact..but he’ll if corn elder can become a sure tackler then it’s all about willingness and want tooCb tackling is a must in this system, just like Seattle in the pros. If you can’t tackle then it’s going to be rough.
True, but you can teach tackling. Tough to tackle when you run a 4.9, get juiced, and the WR is 3 yards past you.Cb tackling is a must in this system, just like Seattle in the pros. If you can’t tackle then it’s going to be rough.

This guy has decent but no great speed. Where that 10.5--100m comes from on HUDL I do not know. This year on the track team he and with a group of guys who also ran in the open 100m and the best there was 11.36 in a meet that was electronic timed. Colson did not run in an open 100 meters but the other three guys did and all were in the mid-11s at 100m. If he was a 10.5 he would have smoked everyone else in those meets. Besides look at the team times and they are average by South Florida standards.

Read his track times as posted by others. He is not or no where near 10.5.Any kid down here that is 6’2 and runs a 10.5 would have everything thrown at them and we wouldn’t stand a chance. Cj had no db film at all his junior year and everybody wanted him at db. Is here a kid down here we haven’t offered with this kids film and measurables?
Problem we’re having is that oos kids want to come here more than local kids. Maybe some loca kids don’t have offers cause the have told the staff they’re not interested.
@Liberty City El whats up with this kid? Think he was dropped by Minn or just wanted to explore his options?

My bad.Read his track times as posted by others. He is not or no where near 10.5.
He played on an undefeated State championship team (against weak comp though).
But he's a 5'11 160lbs kid with very good 4.48 speed, also ran a 10.5 in the 100m.
He's not a natural CB by any stretch of the imagination, he's primarily a WR that plays some CB, needs work on his technique, his physicality in press man coverage & needs to get physically bigger overall obviously, but he's got good speed traits if we're just looking for a fast kid to put in the CB group. He's basically a poor man's Marcus Clarke with less ball skills.
Neither one will be EE's, nor would be ready to play as TF's, but down the line you could see them maturate into good Corners, Clarke has way higher upside.
As to whether or not he's a take, I mean shìt beggers can't be choosers, so that's where we're at at this point lol.
