Reminds me of Marcus Clarke. Dynamic playmaker but can’t tell if he’s physical based on those highlights.
He’s definitely a smooth mover.
LOL we will be lucky to get another body in at this point. Rumph recruits like a nun *****We already go clark, can we recruit a pure CB and not just anothe athlete who is super raw, we need guys who can contribute soon
Oklahoma kid. That's me. I'm the Oklahoma kid. You ******' varmint! Dance. Dance. YAHOO, YA ************!Like a clown? You mean I amuse you?
This is like Rumph's 5th time this recruiting cycle reshuffling his cornerback board. Very sad!

He can runPer twitter. Out of Georgia. 3* on 247 and Rivals. Anyone know anything about this kid?
If they can play WR, they can play DB..you want athleticism and speed in the back end? Adding Clark and this kid doesCould be a strategy for the staff this cycle idk but to be completely honest about Marcus Clarke and Colson... I like them both better at WR. Could just be the type of guys they’re looking for at CB.
He’s a take..he has the athleticism profile to play DB..it’s not that hard of a transition tbh. If your athleticism is on par the techniques can be learnt quickly..plenty of successful WR to DB transitions have been madeHe played on an undefeated State championship team (against weak comp though).
But he's a 5'11 160lbs kid with very good 4.48 speed, also ran a 10.5 in the 100m.
He's not a natural CB by any stretch of the imagination, he's primarily a WR that plays some CB, needs work on his technique, his physicality in press man coverage & needs to get physically bigger overall obviously, but he's got good speed traits if we're just looking for a fast kid to put in the CB group. He's basically a poor man's Marcus Clarke with less ball skills.
Neither one will be EE's, nor would be ready to play as TF's, but down the line you could see them maturate into good Corners, Clarke has way higher upside.
As to whether or not he's a take, I mean shìt beggers can't be choosers, so that's where we're at at this point lol.
"I'm just trying to weigh my options out," Colson said when asked why he didn't sign early. "You never know what could happen between now and February."
Is Colson intrigued by the Hurricanes?
"Definitely," Colson said. "That's where all my family is from – like Miami, Miami."
That would be the only question, how physical is he..but the kid played wing Back at that size in a wing T offense so he’s used to contact..I’m all for taking athletes like thisReminds me of Marcus Clarke. Dynamic playmaker but can’t tell if he’s physical based on those highlights.

That's extremely convenient & very sad that people actually believe that.Unless things have changed, last I heard, Rumph doesn't get the final say on who they recruit at CB. Diaz/Recruiting coordinator is at fault for this

We should have just kept Hodges tbh

6’0-6’2 you want on the boundary..Not always true in that a WR can play DB. Totally agree on the athleticism. If Rumph is going to continue to coach here these are the kinds of guys he needs to recruit instead of the guys built like him. Still good to have a few 6’1 6’2 guys but that shouldn’t be all we target. These guys have higher ceilings than Justin Hodges, Devonte Brown, DJ Ivey, etc etc.
But at the same time it’s surprising to me that they’re offering these guys that show that tackling is a sure bet weakness for them because they preach the total opposite and in previous classes they offered the exact opposite.
