Jamorri Colson, 2020 CB was just offered

This is sad, we are now scrambling last minute for a 5'11" 160lbs Georgia 2A player vs alllll the athletes that south Florida had available for the 2020 class.

Go Canes

this kid looks very good...I think he's a taken matter what

But I do agree with this Stubbs (ignoring) and Rumph (whiffing and ignoring) when they are in the DB and WR capital of the world.

Solid prospect. Thing that stood out to me was him using the sideline as an extra defender not many hs kids do it and not many can do it as well as he did. Only thing I dont like is the lack if tackling film

What stood out to me was his backpedal. Just watch the first few plays and see how smooth it is. He also redirects well....hips look good.

This late in the game, he looks good.....would like to have an accurate camp size/weight and speed numbers. The overall rating increase and drop is odd.

I agree I like his back pedal also but to me using the sideline is suprising to me becaus usually u see kids start grabbing and commiting penalties when the wr has them beat vertically but he knows the wr is gonna slow down to try to stay in bounds and I also like the fact he is able to locate the ball and fight 50 50 balls which is a problem with ivey. I think he should he rated higher also but probably because of him being a athlete which for some reason recruiting sites dont hold at a high value

He played on an undefeated State championship team (against weak comp though).

But he's a 5'11 160lbs kid with very good 4.48 speed, also ran a 10.5 in the 100m.

He's not a natural CB by any stretch of the imagination, he's primarily a WR that plays some CB, needs work on his technique, his physicality in press man coverage & needs to get physically bigger overall obviously, but he's got good speed traits if we're just looking for a fast kid to put in the CB group. He's basically a poor man's Marcus Clarke with less ball skills.

Neither one will be EE's, nor would be ready to play as TF's, but down the line you could see them maturate into good Corners, Clarke has way higher upside.

As to whether or not he's a take, I mean shìt beggers can't be choosers, so that's where we're at at this point lol.

I like the kid on either side of the ball... I meant we could use the speed at WR with no Fleming

Kid has some Thomas Burns to em, both can mirror...Burns has more polish even though a year younger.

Shodell spoke to him briefly and will follow up. Said the kid is very interested in Miami fwiw

"I'm just trying to weigh my options out," Colson said when asked why he didn't sign early. "You never know what could happen between now and February."

Is Colson intrigued by the Hurricanes?

"Definitely," Colson said. "That's where all my family is from – like Miami, Miami."
