James Coley

Honest question. Have we passed the ball out of the Edwards, Hagans, 2 TE set yet? Pretty sure the answer is no although I may have missed 1 or 2 along the way.

We are extremely predictable. He doesn't do a good job at calling plays that build off each other.

we are predictable n each and every aspect of our game...sucks we have fallen to these depths. Its hard on ALL true cane fans these days

Funny how coley leaves and FSU realizes they have TEs...he comes here and they become virtually non-existent

I think he did a fair job this year. He'll improve.

I thought the same thing before today's a$$ raping. Doubt he has it to be a play caller at the big stage. Good teams will continue to crap down his throat.....just like they did this year.

single biggest disappointment of this game is coach Coley IMO. His unit looked unprepared. There was nothing new. No new wrinkles, no trick plays, nothing.

What's worst was how the D coordinator for UL made coley look like an unranked amateur. Coley loves to run the offense from the sidelines doing all of the audibling himself. Tonight UL's DC had his defense stay in the standing position walking around so Coley could not audible in anything. It was varsity versus JV among the coordinators tonight.

Morris was 3/15 at one point but blame for Coley for not getting on the field and throwing it himself. Morris can barely complete screens consistently.

I know everyone is mad but Coley has showed some very good flashes this year. He had some really inventive play designs and stretches of good play calling. Enough to give me hope that he gets it. Unlike the defensive coordinator that has been at Miami for three years and it is the same old ****. Coley was hurt by:

1. Morris
2. Losing Duke
3. Miami's defense putting the offense in bad spots
4. Poor OL coaching

I really think we will see what Coley is made of without Morris. Morris was really bad this year. He either could not or would not make progression reads and forced so many terrible passes. Makes it very hard on an offensive coordinator when you have such an unpredictable QB. I seriously wonder why they did not give Williams a look.

Losing your best offensive weapon in Duke hurts. Miami's terrible defense needs no explanation.

I've held my tongue a bit but can't any longer. I don't know how Art Kehoe is still coaching. He and D'Nofrio are the worst coaches on this staff. There is a reason that NO ONE hired him until Golden went and got him from his house. Great coaches don't sit around without a job like Kehoe did. People want to blame the zone blocking scheme but that isn't the issue. Zone blocking works amazingly when taught properly. Kehoe can't coach his unit up to perform. The OL should've been the strength of this team but instead it underperformed greatly.

He didn't call plays at FSU. Another red flag that was ignored when he got hired.
he didnt call plays but was responsible for the.offensive gameplan.

Is that a fact?

Just sounds like BS to prop up a guy that just held offensive meetings because Jimbo couldnt be everywhere. Why have a guy gameplan....but not call plays? Conversely, why would you want to call plays off of someone else's gameplan?

Been telling yall about Coley all year. He's terrible and predictable. A month to prepare and we saw no new wrinkles. We still went vertical all game, and when we didn't go vertical we threw a WR screen. We're predictable as ****. We did play-action on 3rd and long again tonight, as usual.

How anybody can watch another team's offense and think Coley is doing all the right things is beyond me. We don't utilize slants, drags, or anything in the shallow middle of the field. If we throw in the middle of the field it's to a vertical route from an inside receiver. Everything is ******' hitches and verticals.

We don't run any "quick game" and we don't put defenders in a bind. We simply try to out-athlete everyone.

You guys can try to blame everything on Morris all you want, but when your QB is making the same throws in game 13 that he was in game 1, that might be a coaching issue. All this talk about Morris being scared to throw over the middle of the field is nonsense. That kid ain't scared to throw anywhere, he just doesn't have any primary reads that involve the middle of the field.

Corners played 10yds back all game and never exploited it....

The oline was trash all game and coleys solution is slow developing plays gtfo
