Jacolby George's attitude

Not sure if you watched Mario’s post game when they asked about the unsportsmanlike stuff and he said something like “a few of these guys just haven’t learned yet” and kind of raised his eyebrows

Certainly felt like a George comment but maybe I’m reading too much into it

Gotta think they're gonna try and give Trader more snaps

Also have to wonder how much longer they'll trust Brown with the drops. But I doubt they'd want to put both Trader and Carr into significant roles at the same time

You might be right.

Unless JG got hurt (again), he did not play in the 4th quarter [maybe I'm wrong but I did not see him take snaps during the last couple of drives]. Horton took his snaps. Ironically, Horton lost his temper and his unsportsmanlike penalty almost cost us the game.
Yeah the Horton one I think was in the category Mario was saying like you gotta let these guys play

On the field he was screaming “WHERE IS THE PERSONAL FOUL?!” at the refs

As they should at this point. It was one thing to have a couple bad unsportsmanlike penalties as a young guy last year - but im not sure does he have 3-4 this year already!? This is a pattern now - not just bad luck.

I think Brown is getting some undeserved criticism. He has some stuff to work on but I think Beard can fix the problem with drops. He didn’t do anything to deserve the PI penalty and on the Restrepo catch , It looked to me like he was trying to position get in front of the defenders and was being very cautious to avoid getting called for a block in the back or some other bull**** penalty. I don’t think it was brainfreeze or lack of effort. Didn’t see anything too boneheaded from him. George on the other hand is too easily baited into penalties and refs are looking for it.

I was a HS Hockey coach for 8 years up here and at this point he would be sitting a game. I had to do that a few times unfortunately with similar situations. That’s just me - Mario can do what he wants.

I inferred the same thing. JG’s leash just got much shorter. Ray Ray and Jojo will benefit the most.

Regardless Mario has to have a come-to-Jesus talk with the whole team and put a stop to this. Way too many unsportsmanlike penalties this year. That’s just putting yourself above the team.

Cal saw something in how we respond to chirping, and decided our team was too emotional and could be taunted into making bad decisions. I am 100% convinced this was coach led. It was programmatic.

Not only that - I wouldn’t be surprised if this is effecting the refs as well.

Yeah it was almost to me, and like I said I could be full of it here, but Mario kinda raised his eyebrows like “you guys know who I’m talking about”
I’m confident he was referencing George. My immediate thought too.

Horton’s kick was almost deadly, in the wrong way, but at least I think it was a first for him and Cal was baiting our receivers all night long. On the play multiple Cal players were laying on Horton preventing him from getting up, talking ****.

He shouldn’t have kicked them, and it almost cost the team dearly, but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt in the heat of the moment.

George on the other hand, is a diva and doesn’t get it. He’s talented, but it a head case.

He is not even close to being good enough to do what he does every game. He’s mediocre at best and talks **** like a prime TO.

The entire ACC does this. These teams all try to bait us into personal fouls, knowing that the officials almost never see the instigators, but will notice and flag the reaction.

Not only did he get called for the penalty immediately, but he got yanked from the game right after that. That was a huge 3rd down stop as South Carolina was trying to get back in the game and he gave Ole Miss 15 free yards and a new set of down. Absolutely mind boggling.
Dodged a bullet.

Side note: Gophers player got an unsportsmanlike for a gun reference (in comparison to the ATM kid). He just lifted up his jersey like he was showing he was strapped. That’s all he did.
Oh that's what that means lol. I've been wondering. Seen it a quite a few times this year.

Dylan Stewart was literally shooting a fake gun at Jackson dart and didn’t get a penalty called on him. It’s crazy, they picking on him

George has been doing stupid **** for 4 years. Stewart is a freshman and he got pulled right after. George is a marked man every game by the refs. Quit trying to defend his dumbass.

Ideally Mario has George doing up downs the entire bye week but given that he’s injured it’s not going to be a net positive.

Just get what you can from this guy and off he goes.

Bench him or suspend him. Do whatever you have to do. There’s a reason I wanted him gone after last year. Mario is a ***** for not doing anything about it. He was literally out there the next possession.

I wouldn’t call George mediocre.

But he’s not so talented to accept him when there are other players on the bench waiting their turn. I think Horton is more talented and brings a size element (pause) at 6-3 205 pounds.
