Jacolby George's attitude

I don’t know if anyone noticed, right before the half we were trying to get one more play off and Cam literally had to pull him away cause he was talking trash to a VT player. We ran out of time and had to call a timeout. Luckily it was the right decision as we made the field goal but it could’ve been costly.
Yep I saw that and mentioned it in the game thread. He’s held it together for the first 4 games. But Friday he went back to the old George. Glad Mario chewed him out after the td. We do need someone to step up because he’s playing hobbled.

I think the OP might be referring to: I was at the game and stayed for a good 30 minutes after it ended. While the rest of the players were singing the alma matter by the band area, George went after a much bigger VT player near the entrance to VT's locker room. He was clearly picking a fight, another Cane player had to pull him away and take him to our locker room. He was beyond out of control.
Yea it’s **** like that. He’s obviously a talented player but to be a 4th or 5th year guy and still dropping balls, picking up penalties, acting like a true freshman is a problem.

Precisely.

I don't know why all these goofy dudes are so in their feelings. It's fine playing on the edge or whatever, but he constantly crosses it and I'm worried that it will cost us in a close game.

He even had some ****-eating grin on his face after Mario chewed him out, which isn't a good look.

Nah, you’ve all gone soft. Spinning the ball wasn't THAT bad but not being able to get another play in is bad if that's true.

We already have someone who has stepped up. 2, 8, and 11 have all stepped up big time. WR is not a concern if he misses some time. It looks like an ankle, those can drag out unless you just take the time off of them. Which he isn’t doing so it’ll continue …

Which game is his nonsense going to cost us something material?

I am always watching for him after plays and he still just doesn't knock it off. I'm a huge fan of his talent but he knows he has eyes on him after last year, but he still persists.

Am I incorrect?

He's been level headed if you compare to the past. Spinning a ball is bull****.

JG tries to get in people's heads all game. Several times they've lashed out at him and he kept his cool.

Boy is fluid. He's playing pretty well.
I get that spinning the ball is considered an unsportsmanlike penalty. A ticky tack one in my book but I get it. The issue I have is with the fact that after I think Cam's first INT the VT DB is tackled on our sideline. He proceeds to stand up and do Cam's celebration directly at our bench while standing a foot from the players and no flag. How is that not also a penalty? As well as the multiple other times VT did it and more throughout the game.

It’s time to give someone else a shot, even the first 4 games he was walking a tight rope with the other teams. He’s more interested in talking **** and doing unnecessary **** than be a team player.
