Jacolby George's attitude

George is 5x better than last year regarding his behavior. He also has been solid as a WR. He’s been tough this year too. Last year it felt like he was trying to get penalties and actively ******* over the team. This year he absolutely seems like he’s tried to contain himself. I’ve noticed WAAY less bs with him, and honestly I feel like he isn’t really starting stuff and it feels more like calls on him are lame ones tbh…

Teams are clearly targeting him to try to provoke him. Not even a question imo. He’s got to make sure he controls himself. But idk why yall think Trader or Carr or even Ray Ray should be getting so much pt over George to the point you’re saying to bench him lol. He has clearly been our 3rd best WR.

George has talent but man he hasn't learned from last year. it's why I doubted if hes a dependable guy coming in. hes just too involved in talking **** and needs to control his emotions better

Horton’s kick was almost deadly, in the wrong way, but at least I think it was a first for him and Cal was baiting our receivers all night long. On the play multiple Cal players were laying on Horton preventing him from getting up, talking ****.

He shouldn’t have kicked them, and it almost cost the team dearly, but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt in the heat of the moment.

George on the other hand, is a diva and doesn’t get it. He’s talented, but it a head case.

Michael Irvin said one of the Cal players intentionally poked Horton in the eye. That would make just about anyone react like he did.

George is a knucklehead, but he is really talented and think we need him on the field. Brown, you can have.

I agree with all that and yet he still doesn’t meet the minimum standards of maturity. He’s a playmaker no doubt. But he really hurt the team with that early unsportsmanlike, killed our momentum. Inexcusable and there has to be some consequences. Not saying bench the dude. But definitely give other guys some of his snaps. Make him earn back more playing time.
 
I would have him on second team for the next two weeks. I’m tired of his stupid behavior. Improved or not.

He cost us a minimum of 3 points Saturday

I’ve been and will continue to be highly critical of his antics. His play decent but he’s not some world beater. He can be replaced in the off season. His attitude on the other hand is inexcusable. He presents the demeanor of the same bull**** we’ve had for the last 20 years. He’s had the time to get with the program but hasn’t.
 
This thread aged well. JG has been responsible for some catchable dropped passes and the dumbest penalty yards this year. He's a liability out there--and OP has a point. One of these days his mental lapses are going to cost us when it matters most. JG needs to wisen up or his playing time needs to wizen up.
