Oregon doing this visit is a panic move. Clearly they got some info he wasn’t coming there. Doing a visit over Easter weekend is wild imo. I don’t hate the aggressive approach by Lanning.

I’d be stressing if we didn’t have Mario. Especially at the OL position.

Maybe you are unfamiliar with his game, but Drew Rosenhaus is elite at negotiating. It's not a coincidence that it leaked out he was "nearing a decision." I hate the aggressive approach by Oregon. They have taken many of the players that we have wanted. Mario isn't lining up to protect Nickel next season.

I’d rather Lanning be aggressive right now after it’s clear he wasn’t planning on going there. I’m basing the nearing a decision on he was ours. I severely doubt we were his highest offer with who was in his top schools.

In the same sense of what you are saying about Rosenhaus and his negotiating. If he was trending Miami and Miami is where he wants to go, Oregon upping their offer in turn makes us up the offer. If Oregon say kicks in an extra $50k/year. And we in turn up ours $40/year Cantwell gets his cake and eats it too. If this happened after he OV’d here, I’d be more worried.

Do we really think Miami gave him his final take it or leave it offer? I doubt it.

Why, in today’s world, are people like Gaby still so cryptic? Why not just write the truth? Like, ‘Oregon is now offering more NIL money and is right back in the mix. Your move UM’.

That is literally all that has changed. Im not an insider, nor did I sleep at Holiday Inn last night. But I’m also not an idiot (most of the time).
