Issues with coach Mike Rumph

The problem is no coherent strategy. They should have realized that Rumph sucks *** at recruiting the last 2 years losing guys like Byrd and Henderson, and gladly taken guys like Samuel 10 months ago instead of counting on him to land kids like Surtain and Campbell. That's a leadership issue. Rumph is what he is - a horrendous recruiter.

Wouldn't it be something if he goes elsewhere and all of a sudden starts pulling blue chippers left and right? lol, just our luck that would happen

Hard to pull 5 stars at Stetson or Old Dominion, where he should be coaching.

Haha you guys are funny man. You want a coach or a recruiter? Both? Who do you want? Pretty sure yall claimed michael Jackson was a jag when we signed him. This past season yall were claiming he was a 1st rounder. So which is it? No one was beating out UGA and Bama when they had a need. No one. Best bet was having campbell sign early. Kid wanted to leave the state. Sister got offered a job. get over it.

Actually I want a Ron Dugans on defense man is a savage! Got Ezzard to commit as well. Say this about Kul at least he locked up Silvera.Rumph can’t even lock up a guy he has coached since the kid was 7 years old.
MD2 was quoted by Barry "we've been on these 2 (PS2/TC) since we got here". CMR1 was on them from GA, he hires CMR2 to help ensure we get them (sure, he has to coach his position too, duh). We don't, it IS A LOSS, no other way to measure.

All you people that want Rumph gone need to get the **** over it. He'll be here even if you don't like it. Sucks that they didn't land either the of AH corners, it seems like Campbell wanted to go to Miami but had other factors take him to UGA, we'll never really know.

Rumph isn't the best position coach on the team in my opinion but he's up there. He turned a Paul Williams recruit into a productive player that actually had thoughts of leaving school early. He'll get better as a coach and so will the players.

Speaking of Paul Williams, who was the worst position coach bar none, didn’t he recruit and sign the best CB in the state? I don’t trust what former player’s opinions are on coaches. Look at their track record of lobbying for Randy Shannon, Larry Coker, Andreu Swasey and Gary Stevens.

WOW! We just landed one of the best recruiting class in the country, and now let's fire a coach who has developed the players inherited upon arrival. Let's look back and recall the following players skill sets upon his arrival:
- NFL opportunities - Jenkins, Elder, Carter, and Colbert!
- Current roster - Redwine, Johnson, and Jackson (each will get invited to an NFL camp in 2019)

Rumph is a Cane and played at the highest level! Surtain and Campbell made their decisions and I wish them well, because they handled the recruiting process with class. We have a combine collection of outstanding DBs on our current roster who will become solid college players. Rumph and the coaching staff will develop 8 DBs by first game to perform at the elite level. We are fine, and don't go to sleep on Hall, Frierson, Ivey, and Blades.

This coaching staff have changed the culture, and let the process develop! Get your season tickets and see how the home team crowd makes a different on game day. Just ask ND and VT baby! C.A.N.E.S.

I thought the point was to build the AH -> UM pipeline?

I guess not.

Your are going to blame a kid for choosing Bama and UGA, you must be really stupid. Those are excellent teams and programs. We are still building ours back. This ain't about a single coach...

It’s too much to ask that Rumph be able to effectively recruit the HS where he was Head Coach

Got it.

Diaz carries the blame game just as much as anyone else on the defense. His defense has it's moments but when it comes to 3rd downs and getting offense off the field. His play calling is a huge bust and puts players in a no win situation.

Yeah; bout ready for him to leave too. All those TFLs don’t mean chit if u can’t get off on 3rd down.

BC he did Rick a huge favor in getting him Sony Michel, and this was his payback.

No other logical reason this piece of garbage is on our staph.

Because he’s the best position coach on our team

lol. Better than Kul?

Nah.

It’s close between those two but yes

LMFAO. He's a terrible coach with no experience. Our DBs have horrendous technique and can't play zone coverage for ****.

You dont know shît about technique.

You think our DBs are well coached? They never get in phase. Don't look for the ball. Can't play zone coverage for ****, are poor at matching patterns. Yes, let's crown Rumph bc a former 5 star highschool all american from Tennessee became a decent NFL player.

I'm just as upset as the rest of you guys but you've clearly forgotten what he did with Adrian Colbert, Malek Young, and Mike Jackson to name just a few.........

Amen - folks forget how high our concerns were going in about secondary and we had a couple step up. Get a grip.

Typical - the garbage fans are out to complain. Where were you clowns on early signing day. Oh yeah - so thick you did not know we had a good class, top 5 or 7 class. Learn how to cheer for your team and not against your team.
