Starting to look like it.
This may be a tough one when we play those guys.
Not sure what "to really put up points" means or what it has to do with anything. They put more than enough points to win. And that's all that matters. Doesn't matter if you score them throwing a beautiful tight spiral on an 80 yard pass, or if you block a punt or run in a pick 6. When you play D like they do, you don't need to put up 35 points a game to win.

That's fine. But that's a separate point from "Thomas is playing great right now." Playing well enough to win relative to how good their defense is, I wouldn't disagree that much. I think they are going to struggle when they play a team with both a good defense and a good offense.
But I don't think their offense is playing well enough where I would be that confident going into any game if I was a VT fan.
If we can score 21 or more against them we will get the win, IMO.
Should be a similar game to the UF game.

I think the 21 point number is correct. I think if you score 3 TDs (plus 1 point) against that D, it will be too much for that offense to put on the board.

And limit the ST mistakes. That's really where VT has always capitalized on opponents, both inferior and superior ones. STs are of utmost importance when we play them
I dont understand everyone thinking Logan Thomas is getting better each year. His numbers are worse every year. They are on pace to be slightly better this year than last year, but that is because he had such a huge dropoff from his sophomore year.

I'm not looking at stats. I'm watching him play. And his last two games have been very good. Whitfield has done a nice job with him because he's starting to look like he did two years ago when everyone had their tongues up his ***.
This one will be an absolute war. Does VT play any good ACC teams other than us?
I'm not looking at only stats either, I just wanted to provide some extra evidence of his decline. I agree that he has looked better the last couple games, but thats 2 games. I could just as easily say he looked like absolute trash against scrubs like Marshall and ECU. He is pretty inaccurate and at times relies on his run game too much. At best he's inconsistent with the potential to have big games. He can be a playmaker, but he can also be a scrub. Lets see if they are in sync when we play them.
He completed 75% against UNC and 68% against UNC and averaged about 250 yards passing in those 2 games with 4 TDs and, most importantly, 0 INTs. I keep hearing that they have no receivers, but they must have a few for him to put up those numbers against decent ACC competition. Byrn and Knowles both look like pretty good receivers to me. Not great, but they're far from awful.
I think you guys are underestimating that team. That's all. If you want to keep thinking they stink go ahead. I hope you're right because I hate them.
