Is VT defense legit?

Starting to look like it.


This may be a tough one when we play those guys.

VT, UF, MSU have legit defensive teams.

I think they are legit. But they always are. It's no different this year. It'll come down to if they can score on our offense because their offense is abysmal.

lol Why do we ask this sh*t every year.....

VT has had the same guy coaching their d for like 20 years.....he knows his sh*t his schemes etc.....

their d is ALWAYS legit...add to it their secondary is ALWAYS good....we wont throw it all over them.....they have to Fuller boys that are nfl quality and another true freshman that is a ball hawk..

they have their usually small squatty dt's...but these guys are up around 300 or over...but like 6'0-6'1.

their lb are active....so yes...their d is legit....i dont know why we laways downplay them like they down OWN us.
 
I saw them live when they played ECU and they looked really avg. having said that, they've gotten better every game, and you know Foster can coach D.

We should destroy them if we stop Thomas running up the middle, he has to be rushed. Dude has happy feet and no one should be able to cover Coley, no one has.
 
I think they proved it in the opener against Bama. Had they not given up 3 non-offensive TDs that game would've had a much different feel to it

They're better this year than they've been in awhile. They have the same guy coaching them, but he has better players. There are 4 or 5 NFL players in that secondary alone.

Guys keep repeating that, but Thomas has improved tremendously. He looks like he did a couple years ago. They don't need to score 50 points per game with that defense.

They will be a bear especially coming off what will be a brutal war with fsu.

I agree about their secondary. Morris won't see a lot of zone coverage as he has the last two games. VTech will play tight man coverage and force Morris to be accurate with the ball.
 
D is legit, but Thomas and his lack of weapons will make things a lot easier than it should be
