Eventually we're going to run into someone not called Columbia or Virginia Commonwealth.
We're still winning mane. Canes can only play who is in front of them.

I went to the game today and was surprised to see that we were playing VCU not Oregon St. Antwan said that Oregon St was winning their regional. I guess not.
We are 18-2 in our last 20. Were we supposed to go 20-0???? And score ten runs in each of those games?? I personally don't see how we could be playing much more dominantly right now. You have odd nights in baseball when your bats go silent, but that's been a relatively rare occurrence for us the last half of the season. Frankly, I find it hard to complain about that. I do agree I hope we don't go cold all at once. That's why I prefer dominant pitching over dominant hitting. Big time hitting teams are fun, but IMHO dominant pitching squads (with solid defense behind them) are more consistent.

18-2 is nice. But who exactly have we played? Georgia Tech? New York Tech? FIU? Proud of the team and we can only play who were scheduled to play. But it's been basically all below average teams in that stretch. If and when they get to the CWS, they won't be able to have these off nights where the bat goes silent. Or else we will be seeing an influx of smokey posts saying 2 and bbq.
All of this because I made the factual statement that an offspeed pitcher was shutting us down and we weren't making any adjustments. Some of you people need to MTFU.

Teams that get to Regionals and Super Regionals or into the ACC Tournament aren't below average teams. We haven't played the vanguard of college baseball, but these are still good teams. And even outright bad teams can have pitchers that can shut you down. It's not like we've had a lot of off nights. Only 3 times in the last 23 games have we been held under 4 runs. This year is a success if we make if to Omaha. I don't recall anybody before the season started saying we had the talent that we should expect to win the NC.

Good comedy that people are more interested in arguing with you than discussing.
To summarize: no one is unhappy, but there is a concern that the team does not adjust when the opposing pitcher is on a roll and that as the pitching and teams get better as we advance, that makes winning more difficult. Some already find the season a success. Others will not define success until all games are played.
You our play to win the game.

Only five of the last twenty have been regional/super regional games. In that stretch, we've played a few good teams but none that will be contending in Omaha.
AngryIbis said it above best. We all are just defining success differently.
