Same as the Columbia game. We are allowing a pitcher to do his thing. No adjustments, nothing different.

Why can't we ever give some credit to th pitcher? That guy was keeping us off balance. Every single pitcher isn't going to get ripped by us, that makes no sense. We didn't hit well, okay well the pitcher has been good all year. "Just like the Columbia game" okay what about the next Columbia game? Or are we just allowed to talk about the games where we struggled at the plate? Forget the fact that we are leading the nation in runs scored. Enjoy the Canes for once.

those two steal attempts in the game werent even close. the bats need to wake up tomorrow. Im going to pour some for Jobu tonight to give them some help

Is he wrong?

There are many games to discuss that the team hit very well, and they may certainly do so again tomorrow, but today they didn't and that is a fair discussion point.

Why bring up the dissimilar Columbia game, when the game that is currently being discussed was a game that the pitcher was allowed to dictate the game from Spades' perspective?

As I did not get to watch most of the game, I am interested in the comparison to the Columbia came we were shut out, as well as, in your proposed counterpoint of the pitcher getting the credit he is due.

I don't even care to bring up the 21 run Columbia game unless we are only going to talk about the 0 run Columbia game. I mean we lead the nation in runs scored. Its just amazing to me that we win a Supers game, which is what people were complaining about weeks and months ago, and then it's "oh we didn't hit very good." Good grief.

How can anyone not be happy? One win from Omaha and they can clinch at home. This is what we want people! Cheer up. Ill be there tomorrow

Frankly people are insufferable a$$holes.
Much rather bytch than enjoy the team.

Evidently a 9 run, 3hr outing that resulted in a loss would be more acceptable.

Easy, Polyannas. Message boards and game threads exist for people to talk about the games that our teams play. It was a simple observation that we allowed the opposing pitcher to do HIS thing, just like **gasp** in the Columbia game. Our big hitters go up and swing for the parking garage no matter what the pitcher is doing.

As for people being "insufferable a$$holes", I was actually at the game, unlike most of the people who claim that I am only happy when we lose.

But there isn't a rule that says we have to continue to let him keep us off balance. I absolutely give credit to JoJo Howie, but he didn't have to make any adjustments of his own. We just let him do his thing. Thank God he threw away that double play ball, or this thread might be up to 15 pages by now.

Oh, and as for leading the country in scoring, we don't get to bring any of those runs with us. We have to keep scoring. Eventually we're going to run into someone not called Columbia or Virginia Commonwealth.

Boom to this! I mean at this point there is no such thing as an ugly win...a win is a win...It seems like ages since we have been to Omaha and we are one day away from getting back where we belong..
