I agree map.. I'm done. I live in f*cking Maryland and bought season f*cking tickets.. I'm not buying anything UM related until we get a competitive team on the field. Golden must go he is not the answer! I guarantee next years attendance will be just as horrible.

That's what Miami fans are Supposed To say when we lose a recruit. We don't get out recruited. We're the U.. You don't come here it's cause you got paid. Al is a god and no way he loses anyone he really wants unless it's money involved. Duh.
 
In this universe, there's room for both these ideas to co-exist:

A- This corching staff is way out of it's league

B- There's an element of the fan base that's lowlife, and it doesn't help the program any.

simply this. public forums (this site) need to set a higher standard than anonymous pre-teens and teens at their spontaneous worst (the bulk of tis site). it's up to you, D. you have say in how the future fanbase is molded.

Sorry bruh, but this ain't the game to be bringing up this BS. It was a GREAT PHUCKIN CROWD in Orlando. People came out in droves to support those players and they $hitted on us by not even putting up a fight. Letting UL totally disrespect them and the U. For once WE deserved better as a fanbase!

Yes. The coaches are obviously the ones I hate the most right about now. But I'm not giving those players a pass either. This was a team failure!

Because some of our fans are the product of the same public schools and culture that can't get kids admitted to Marshall and WVU.

Edit - And Jassid's post quoted directly above this is enlightening, but that doesn't make those actions OK or beneficial in any way. All that does is reinforce the stereotype that SoFl fans are the worst. Which may be true.

I'd never condone insulting our players and recruits, but our fans had a right to be ****ed the **** off. They should be ashamed, but I blame the coaches for this. They put that abomination of a product on the field and got us embarrassed us on national tv.
 
I wholeheartedly agree with D$.

***** at the coaches, ***** at the administration (they are the only ones that can force changes), but treat a teenager who is playing for YOUR team with some respect, and bite your tongue when appropriate.

FWIW, I do know some players on this and past teams, and the idiotic fan behavior is an issue.

Fwiw football supporters of teams and universities have many dumb fans, it's just the nature of the beast for a sport where gambling and alcohol are integral aspects of it's popularity.

That said its convenient for a lot of these players to want to be treated like men, until it no longer suits them. The fact Denzel and Mongo care, or respond via body language, to a few idiots in the crowd is telling IMO and speaks to our "soft/excuse-making" culture. Little secret: 99% of the people in this world take **** from upper management and clients, it's the real world. Have some respect for self and keep your eyes on the prize.

Not condoning behavior, I would never treat any UM player poorly. I am guessing probably because the guy plays with no emotion, no fire like the rest of the team and he is a scapegoat since he is basically the face of the D. Do you see any Ray Lewis energy in him? That's what Miami fans are used to/expect and unfortunately some are taking the hate out on the players.

We do have some crappy fans but this happens at every school, death threats even like others have said occur. I've seen plenty of WVU and VT fans back in the Big East days make our fans look like saints. Any given day someone somewhere will stoop to **** level, it happens. Many years of frustration exploding around everywhere I am sure, unfortunately the players are the most accessible and usually get the brunt of it.

The **** we put on the field last night was unacceptable. And no leader, not Denzel, anyone, was getting in our guys faces and telling them to stand up and knock them back in the mouth like they were doing to us. No fire, no emotion.

No, all fan bases are not the same. All will have a few idiots, that's human nature, but some are MUCH worse as a whole than others. Miami's seems to fit that bill. Philly does as well (awful home fans when they are not winning).

Because people need to understand that their actions are having an effect on wins and losses. Brad Kaaya was in the crowd today. Think that's a good look? Some ****wad called Braxton Berrios a midget in his dad's face. A Canes fan. It's absurd and I'm frustrated.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be frustrated. The fact of the matter is 95% of the fans you mentioned doing these things, probably don't post/read on this or any message board for that matter. You just gave those idiots a platform to spread their hate/create more damage then they did last night. Stupid, but it's your board so have at it I guess.
