Interesting stat on Florida QBs

Thought Georgia would have more. They're a little over half the population of Florida too so Florida kills them per capital as well.

Ohio is actually on par with Florida (per capita).

I would love to see a similar tracker for successful college QBs (figure out a baseline for that).

We were too pro-centric to take advantage of the talent. Bridgewater and Jackson should have been Canes. But would they have had the same success under our coaches and scheme?

Regardless, doesn't totally shock me. If you want to be the best, you need to practice and play against the best. And FL has the highest concentration of football players in the nation.

Is there a list anywhere saying who these quarterbacks are? I can think of Teddy Bridgewater and Lamaar Jackson obviously. What year was Tebow drafted in? was that ten years ago or more? I'm curious who the rest are. Was Quinton Flowers drafted?

Teddy was ready to come play in a pro system under Randy Shannon. He bolted to Louisville when Randy got canned.

Great find D-Money! It’s sad though that our program hasn’t found a QB in our backyard when south Florida is considered the hot bed of talent. Is it coaching/recruiting or is it kids just aren’t feeling the U?

Looks like we need to be in Texas. They have produced more talented QBs than any other state. They were loaded.

17 Qbs and we didnt sign any of them? Wow
FSU didn't sign any of them either. Of that list only Tim Tebow, Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel signed with one of Florida's big 3. Brissett and Driskel both graduated somewhere other than UF.

I'd say in terms of quarterbacks who have made an impact, Texas has a huge lead over everyone else. Half those Florida guys I didn't even know got drafted. Jake Ruddock? Really?

Totally agree
