In person game observations

5. Cardinals fans were totally classless. Instead of the throwing up the L it was always throwing down the U. We let them know as they exited. Then fans started throwing stuff from top deck. I got hit in back of head by a nickel. I turned around and saw bottles and all kinds of crap being thrown. No place for that. Complete trash man.
When at a road game, it's not wise to talk smack to the hometown fans that are bourbon infused after their team just lost a close game. Did you expect them to invite you to a tupperware party or something? Come on man. You get what you invite. I'm a long time Louisville fan and Miami is my #2 (I bounce living between Louisville and Sarasota). In our section we had Miami fans (section 230) and everything was cordial there. I would never go to Hard Rock and after a win and as Miami fans exited talk smack. Regarding the upper deck fans throwing stuff down on your section, email the Louisville athletic department so they are made aware so they can watch for that in the remaining home game. That's not typical of Louisville fans. If there's a bad apple, we get rid of it.

Thanks for the sermon bro. You are right, next time at a road game we will keep our mouths shut after the win. Get the heck out of here. Talking smack and throwing dangerous objects are two different things.

We had multiple opportunities to put the game away. I was shocked Lville was only 3/12 on third down. I swear it seemed like they just kept extending drives (3-3 on 4th down does not help) Then sprinkle in liek 10 big chunk plays and you see what happened.

I am confused on what to do with Samson. I do think thats just his personality. Whenever I saw him on sideline he was always strapped up like he was ready to go in, just keeps his helmet on. But it seems clear he is not a G and likely wont be a G next year either, so he is a T and it seems Bell has overtaken him for LT next year with Rivers leaving. Have to assume Francis is locked in at RT so do you keep him on the bench another year and hope you get one good year out of him? Do you cut him loose and take the knock on "development"?

Kinda like Rivers I think most project Francis at G at the next level but he is clearly capable of T. Ideal situation is Samson turns the corner and can hold down RT, then have a starting 5 of Bell-McCoy-Rodriguez or Nino or SJ- Francis (I assume cooper is gone) and Samson then you still have Kinsler developing.
Cooper will be back next year.

It's called winning with class. Celebrate your win, cheer for your team and go home a happy man(or woman). Act like an a$$ towards the fans then expect a cause/effect situation to occur. That's all I'm saying. Again, regarding the throwing of objects, definitely email the athletics dept to make them aware. Louisville has a great athletic director that won't tolerate that bs.

Shut the **** up.

You are making excuses for people to be "bourbon-infused" for a noon game, and then act as if their behavior is acceptable.

"You get what you invite?" Yeah, try applying that to Louisville fans. They talked **** all game and then can't handle what they "invited". **** off with that bull****.

I sat in a section surrounded by Louisville fans, just had one Miami fan sitting next to me (he was with a group of 3 Louisville fans). I did nothing to "invite" anything. All game long, I had a bunch of Louisville fans behind me talking ****. At one point, a bunch of them were screaming that we were "cheating" and a Louisville fan to my left tried to tell them "they're not cheating". I also chatted with one guy behind me about penalty calls, I correctly pointed out the illegal shift they were called for (he thought it was a false start) and then other Louisville fans yelled at him for talking to me.

"Email the Louisville Athletic Department". What the ****. We've got people on this thread who have seen this behavior at multiple Louisiville games in the past, stop acting like this is some new one-time thing. Try doing what a REAL stadium does, post a text number on the scoreboard to report violent and abusive behavior. It works. I've seen plenty of people tossed out of Hard Rock Stadium over the years, Miami fans and rival fans alike. My sister-in-law had to report some abusive F$U fans who were treating my nieces badly at the last game in Hard Rock.

Yeah, "email the Louisville Athletic Department". I'm sure that will accomplish a lot a week later. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT DURING THE GAME, don't come here and blame bourbon and Miami fans for "inviting' it.

This is absolutely typical of Louisville fans, multiple people have talked about past instances with trash being thrown from the upper decks. Your fans are a half-step removed from being West Virginia fans.

Stop victim-blaming Miami fans who were verbally harassed for 6 or 7 hours.

**** off.

It's called HOSTING with class. You sell the tickets, guess what, not all 55,000 are going to be Louisville fans.

Try starting with "if we don't abuse our guests, they won't gloat after they win." You are so ******* one-sided in your victim-blaming as you try to whitewash the behavior of Louisville fans, even though you've had multiple people on this thread talking about multiple years of experiencing trash-throwing Louisville fans.

Louisville has a **** Athletic Director who has tolerated that bull**** FOR YEARS. Oh, you think it will SUDDENLY stop because one Miami fan sends an e-mail? You are clueless and delusional if you think anything will come of that. The fact that soooo many Louisville stands, all over the stadium, were pulling this crap is a pretty good indicator that it has never been prevented in the past and has become "tolerable" behavior.

You have a 55,000 seat stadium. Hire more staff, install more cameras, and post a text number/e-mail address for spectators to report bad behavior. It's really not that complicated. Week-old e-mails aren't going to accomplish anything.

Just digging yourself deeper in a hole. I attended a football game, not a golf tournament. What football game have you ever attended that ended in a golf clap and a handshake with opposing fans? Get real man. When I say we gave it back to them, all we did was throw up the upside down L and cheered. They threw the upside down U all game. All just playful banter. Nothing that warranted someone losing an eye because a nickel got launched at them from a 100 feet up. Trust me, if I saw Miami fans doing the same thing I would have called them out. But again, you sound like someone that has never actually attended a road game.

With all due respect, you sound like every other middle America fan that clutches their pearls when they see that Miami’s fan base isn’t full of white boys in polo shirts and khakis and sorority girls in sundresses. Are visiting fans not supposed to make any noise? Stop victim-blaming. If you really cared, you’d email your own AD. Clearly, the school doesn’t care and they don’t get rid of the problem. Visitors don’t deserve to be assaulted and battered because they are cheering and making noise. It’s a football game - that’s what happens at those events. Don’t come to a Miami board after the fact acting like a cop who asks a rape victim what she was wearing. If Miami was really your #2 team, you wouldn’t feed into the bull**** stereotypes about the fanbase.

Year 3 is typically when OL who have been a bit slower develop either figure it all our or arent as good as hoped.

Hopefully Samson puts in one more big time spring/Summer and it pays off.

I think he played such average comp it and then the injury it slowed him down from maybe a 2nd year contributor to now hopefully 3rd.

I'm sure Colorado will be in his DM's

Some of them went out of their way to be welcoming. An equal or greater amount of them went out of their way to be huge gaping a**holes.

I underestimated the amount of pieces of sh*t I encountered. I was in 215 and the 2nd half was chippy.

In the end, fck em and I am glad that my day was solid and their Teddy Bridgewater / ACC Unity / Blackout / homecoming wasn’t as good.

On to the next.
That's so weird people had bad experiences like that. I was in 243 with a group of friends that had never been to a road game and we all just kept talking about how nice the fanbase was. We were around a bunch of season ticket holders of all ages and everyone was talkative, nice and just enjoying the game/weather. Some friendly banter all around but I left thinking it was a great place to watch a game with welcoming fans.

Sidenote, I've NEVER seen a stadium with a **** Happy Hour before, so walking in and being told it's "Happy Hour until Kickoff" and getting large beers for $5 was great!

I've traveled to multiple road games. Of course, we (our family) don't poke the bear while we are there either and then go crying on the Louisville message boards how mean said teams fans were to us. Just don't poke the bear. It's really that simple. Most fans of any given team are respectable fans and every fan base has it's village idiots. Just don't rile up the idiots is all I'm saying. Go Canes, Go Cards!

Dude are you clueless? We sat in the lower section. You literally cannot see the fans in the upper deck the way that stadium is designed. So how exactly was it possible for us to poke the bear of people we could not even see only to have them hurl objects at us. Get real man.

Actually I get it now. 58 posts. Ville fan over here pretending to be a Miami fan while condoning the actions of a trash fan base. Enough said.

We are being gaslighted by a Louisville fan who "also" likes Miami. This is just nuts.

I, too, did not "poke the bear". I got to my seat at kickoff. I said nothing to the Louisville ***** behind me. But I guess I'm "poking the bear" when I'm happy after Miami wins the game, but I'm in the middle of drunken bourbon drinkers who I should be treating like beloved children who ate too much Halloween candy.

Riiiight.

And for this, we should be pelted with rocks and garbage from the upper deck...
