He's the exact opposite of Golden. He actually produces on the field

Can anyone argue that Al Golden underachieved at Temple-Yes, he had the most talented team and never won the MAC. They sucked in the Big East and got kicked out to a lesser league then started winning, but still yet couldnt win the MAC with the most talented team.
Can anyone argue that Franklin underachieved at Vandy-No, in fact most everyone says he has overachieved, which is why some NFL teams are looking at him. No one will argue Vanderbilt has the most talent nor should have the most talent in the SEC. Vanderbilt is in the same league as when they were getting stomped in the 90's and 2000's. So it's easy to compare the recent winning. Here are the facts:
Before Franklin got there Vandy had only been to 4 bowls. This year he is going to his third straight bowl game. They had never been to back to back bowls before he got there. So he has produced almost half of their bowl games.
2012 season: Vandy became bowl eligible in back to back years for the first time in its 123-year football history. This was the first time since 1935 that Vandy won five SEC games in a year and the first time in 30 years that they won at home against Tennessee. Vanderbilt finished the year with the longest current SEC winning streak. For the first time since 1948, Vanderbilt finished the season with a top 25 ranking. There 9 wins was the most since 1915. This is all being done in the SEC and not the MAC.
2013: They won 9 games again this year which is the first time they have ever had back to back 9 win seasons. They beat Georgia, Florida, Tennessee (first time they beat Tenn in back to back years) and first time they beat all three in the same season.
Franklin vs. Golden common opponents 2013: Wake Forest
Vandy won 23-21 with a lot less talent. WF only had a total of 266 yards and vandy had 403.
Miami won 24-21. WF had 361 and Miami had 391.
So Vandy’s defense with a lot less talent held WF to a 100 yards less and Vandy’s offense had more yards than Miami’s.
OH and now he has started bringing in 4 start recruits to Vandy (we are talking about Vanderbilt the perennial doormat of the SEC.) So he can recruit.
He’s also the coach that said before he hires an assistant coach he has to see their wife first b/c recruiting is all about selling the program and if you cant sell yourself (i.e. have a fugly wife) how are you going to sll the program to a 17 yr old kid.
To say that Franklin is the black Al Golden is pretty asinine at this point.
