IF YOU ARE MAKING AN EXCUSE FOR AL GOLDEN

he needs to fix the staff

he had to TAKE a few guys due to Miami bull****...

JJ and Dennis brought in outside guys to get the job done, Al needs to do the same..let this HS coaches burn in a fire...once Al gets burned a few more times with these local crack head coaches that cant complete a sentence he will figure it out or go down like coker and Shannon..do we need South FL guys YES, but we can win with just a limted a few and others that want to PLAY here....

So no excuses just advice for Al...tell barrow and jethro to shape up or ship out....Barrow was left here for a reason to recruit and coach.....and both he has c- grade at best...

Winning Percentages indicate some improvement in direction of program (see below). You can argue the the strength of schedule or diminish late wins vs Wake and UNC but the percentages are in the books. (Yeah Duke and Va Tech were lousy performances)

To disregard impact of ESPN and the national media shouting for the DEATH PENALTY from every rooftop is revisionist history. His recruiting abilities matter and are a significant factor if program will ever get back to national prominence. It has been more than a few years since that was the case so it seems beyond silly to expect quick results. Fact/Truth is this IS his first unencumbered year of recruiting.

Fact/Truth as noted somewhere above if had opted out of the crappy situation he inherited all you "F*ck Manny, Fire Dorito" posters would find the program in a deep hole with no visible lights.

I dont know the man but I bet he knows the defense needs work. This weekends guest list seems to indicate he knows.

Comparing RS to AG doesn't make sense. It would be different if they started at the same point but they didn't. One became HC when we were 4 years removed from winning 11 games & playing in a BCS bowl. We were nationally relevant. The other became HC when we were 8 years removed and fading from the national stage.

And that doesn't even include that AG has had to deal with the NCAA dumbass "death penalty" cloud. Once that **** hit the fan AG got 5 years to get it done.

Its his defensive philosophy
He brought this defensive staff down from temple
He recruited the way he did good or bad
He allowed VT to put up over 500 yards of offense
He got blown out by FSU
He failed to prepare the team for the last four weeks
He eeked out wins against powerhouses such as wake Forrest and UNC
He got the schedule he wanted which is one of the softest I've ever seen
He has this team playing as bad if not worse than last year
Hes had three years and has done **** on the field in those three years other than make the schedule easier
He went 6-6, 7-5 and currently 7-2 and staring down an unraveling season.
He failed to make the ACCCG his first two seasons and will most likely fail again this season

You can defend him all you want and use the NCAA and Randy Shannon as an excuse. But it's year three and the defense is as bad as ever. He's got guys that have been in his scheme for 2 and 3 years. Absolutely no reason we should be this bad. You want to have blind faith go ahead but it's time to realize golden is not the guy to get us where we want to go.

Either he changes his philosophy on defense and gets rid of Dorito or he needs to go and not after next year but at the end of the season. Either he puts the program above his friend and above his failed philosophy or he needs to get out

Pent ultimate? Want to try gain? The word "penultimate" means next to last. I have no idea what "pent ultimate" is.
 
He is an amazing recruiter - how many coaches have had to deal with the NCAA black cloud he was given? Not many
