Its his defensive philosophy
He brought this defensive staff down from temple
He recruited the way he did good or bad
He allowed VT to put up over 500 yards of offense
He got blown out by FSU
He failed to prepare the team for the last four weeks
He eeked out wins against powerhouses such as wake Forrest and UNC
He got the schedule he wanted which is one of the softest I've ever seen
He has this team playing as bad if not worse than last year
Hes had three years and has done **** on the field in those three years other than make the schedule easier
He went 6-6, 7-5 and currently 7-2 and staring down an unraveling season.
He failed to make the ACCCG his first two seasons and will most likely fail again this season

You can defend him all you want and use the NCAA and Randy Shannon as an excuse. But it's year three and the defense is as bad as ever. He's got guys that have been in his scheme for 2 and 3 years. Absolutely no reason we should be this bad. You want to have blind faith go ahead but it's time to realize golden is not the guy to get us where we want to go.

Either he changes his philosophy on defense and gets rid of Dorito or he needs to go and not after next year but at the end of the season. Either he puts the program above his friend and above his failed philosophy or he needs to get out

The only difference between him and Shannon at this point is his ability to utter a coherent sentence. Literally can't think of another difference.
 
He doesn't get ****! Listen to our ******* players after the game! A team reflects it head coach, and they sound completely fine with mediocrity.
 
Anybody that thinks we haven't improved since Shannon is a complete idiot....period. We have a ways to go, and Golden is responsible for the coaches he has on staff, but you hysterical females are pathetic the next morning. Carry on, though

Lulz at this. Please provide numbers where we have improved over Shannon. I beg you to pull the numbers from Shannon's years and Goldens years and show me where the improvement is. If you want to use the eye test tell me what you see that makes this team better other than that they will fight longer than the Shannon teams did.

Golden is is a better communicator and recruiter than Shannon. Other than that they are the same
 
I guess you weren't at the last game in the Orange bowl against Virginia...or didn't watch us lose to USF. I don't need to show you numbers to know the team has improved....it is evident on the field. The loss hurts, I understand. Now take your overdramatic, female acting *** to bed and get a couple more hours sleep, darlin.

I feel like we've improved. I wanna say we have improved but **** Shannon won 9 games in year 3. Good chance we win 9 this year in Goldens 3rd year. This year mirrors Shannons 3rd season almost exactly. Start off strong. Appear to be headed into the right direction and then regression as the year has gone on. Florida was that years OU. We've even had a kinda fluky come from behind win against Wake.

Yet, they have accomplished the same at this point: having the ACC in our grasp and blowing it

You are right, you don't need to show me numbers, because the numbers (especially defensively) say that we are actually a worse team.
 
His teams constantly fail late in the season and it's because he refuses to acknowledge his best friend is terrible at defensive coaching.

Improved in basics like...fewer penalties, fewer burned timeouts, better kick and punt return defense...
 
I can't fight for the D...the scheme is terrible, but I believe we have better athletes and are seeing better development. None of that can fix Dorito, though.
 
We have improved. Talent is better, guys are in better condition, the program is recruiting better, and overall we are going in the right direction. The defense needs another scheme. I bet a top notch coordinator would be light years better than what we see currently.

The development of players is better. NO WAY shannon would have gotten what Al has gotten out of some of these players. **** most of Shannons players didnt realize their full potential until they went to the NFL! (Sam Shields, Antoino Dixon, to name a few)

Other then that, He and Shannon are on about the same path. Shannon won 9 games in year 3. Al will be LUCKY to win 10. Maybe 11. 9 is more realistic. I see us losing to PITT. Tom Savage could do what Logan Thomas did to us.

At this point, lets just hope Al is like Butch and is such a **** good recruiter that the talent he brings in will bail him out 10 out of the 12 games we play yearly. When we play the FSUs of the world is when his coaching could come into question.

The only hope is to stockpile talent and get him surrounded by good coordinators. Look at FSU with their new coordinators and assistants this year. We can't continue like this, that is for sure.

At least nobody is going to be calling for Al any time soon. I'll give him one more year before officially getting on board the get rid of Al train.

Do you think we have improved in tackling, maybe over last year, but compared to the beginning of this year, this has been a real problem and contributing factor never to be able to bet off the field on 3rd down.
