If Miami wins ACC Championship- Peach Bowl

WTF could possibly be lame about that? It's the closest game to Miami.
Name recognition is my guess. Sugar, Rose, Fiesta were historically a superior bowl game. Don't care. Also maybe battered wife syndrome over the LSU game lol.

Atlanta is perfect venue/location. Let's Go!

I could see this happening.
That said, I could also see UGA losing to Ole Miss on Saturday.

This is a crazy year in which we just do not know yet who will step up and who will fade away.
What are the SEC tiebreakers???

To be fair what they did to SCar is pretty impressive. Scar is one of the most underrated teams in the country imo. Should/could have beat both LSU and Bama if not for some sus officiating vs LSU and choke job from the QB vs Bama.
True.
USCe stomped Kentucky early on as well.

Since Clemson got embarrassed by Louisville, a 12-0 Miami is guaranteed a spot in the ACCCG. No tiebreakers to worry about.
Double hit there for Clemson.
That game also breaks a tie (TB #2) if we ***** up and fall into a second place tie with them.

2. Win-percentage versus all common opponents.
(UL & FSU)

This will sounds super beta but yeah that game was huge for us. Cause now we can lose a game and still get in. Barf

The 5 seed is a sneaky good spot. You get a home game vs the G5 representative (which will be the 12 seed).

Then you get a quarterfinal game against the worst P4 champion, which will likely be the Big 12.

Could easily be the 5 seed and be pretty significantly favored in both your games to the semifinals.
It really shouldn't be top 4 conference champs get auto bye if this is how they handle seeding. If they want to do that then it should get re-seeded after the first round. If they don't want to re-seed it should just be the top 4 or 5 conference champs are guaranteed spot but not a bye. Then it'd all be fine.

now I just need Widespread Panic to announce a NYE run at the Fox in Atlanta and I’m booking my flights.
Unfortunately, I do not think it is happening with Jimmy's health, though it sounds better. I live in Atlanta and did something stupid. A friend asked if I wanted to see Phish in NYC. I said ok, thinking the quarters were the week before. Booked my flights to leave my wife with two young kids for three nights and then realized we may be playing a hometown game for me on New Years Day. Hopefully we can run it back two weeks later.

Scar has the dominant front 7 that Miami thought they had coming in to the season

I understand concern but the Conference Championships have to have some meaning or else why even play them? I believe you have to guarantee a bye for the best Champions.

I do not know this for sure but I think the non-seeding thing is only because they want fans to know exactly where they are going as soon as their first round game is over.
Having to wait a few more days makes it more confusing. It all comes down to money and selling tickets ASAP.

Anyway, with the actual premise of 5 seed being in a sneaky good position... .... maybe. But assuming 12 is Boise I am not sure anyone wants to play them. Ask Oregon how good they are.
Plus you have the added pressure of possibly being the first team to lose a major playoff game to a Non Power 4 team which could be brutal shame.

Yeah but that’s gonna be a killer run of shows. I miss Phish new years in Miami!

My hope for the shows is based on them announcing those Atlantic City shows and rumors in the panic groups on Facebook.

Thankfully if we get lucky and end up playing in Atlanta my very pregnant wife and young son will be stashed at my sisters house in Dunwoody with her and her kids while I get very day drunk at the Canes game.

If Boise wins out, I don’t see them getting the 12th seed, they should be 11 seed or better with all the other losses in front of them

What would actually be funny is if Army beats ND, and goes undefeated and BYU drops a game or loses B12 championship, and because of that the top 5 rated Champs are SEC, B10, ACC, Boise St and Army.

Not if Pitt wins out.
(assuming SMU wins out).

We shouldn't be throwing this bad juju at our Canes.
Just win.
