If Miami wins ACC Championship- Peach Bowl

I am going to get downvoted for this —— but hypothetically, if we went into the ACC championship game undefeated and lost, we may get the 12 seed (I think that’s at large and not reserved for G5). It’s looks like actually a far easier path to the National championship game than the 2 or 3 seed. So while losing the ACC championship would be a bummer, seems like we’d be in a better position for the big prize than if we won (I’m not rooting for a loss - just purely looking at matchups).
Sure 12 seed is ok, but 5 seed is likely either OSU or Oregon. Also, 10 and 11 seed are not favorable. Best to just win conference championship and not play with fire.

Also, Georgia making it to the #1 seed could take a home semifinal game away from us. This is a real possibility if they win out and Oregon loses to OSU in B1G championship. Georgia is definitely closer to Hard Rock than the Cotton Bowl.

If you are a lawyer, I might be able to help…….
I am - zoning, real estate - I don’t practice anymore. Haven’t in almost 30 years though all I do is real estate transactions and agreements. I keep my Florida Bar Membership on inactive but pay the dues. DC as well.

Yep, and it could be a scenario where Georgia is the fifth seed, wins their first round game, and then we end up playing Georgia in Atlanta which would not be optimal.
The 4 seed plays the 5
We are in no position to get through 4 seed

I can’t help. But, my son is a commercial real estate lawyer at a mega firm. He does deals for huge international corporations. Sounds like you 30 years ago.

I guess these noon games aren’t the worst thing for us to get ready for the playoffs if we win the ACC championship game

Jan 1st at 1pm in Atlanta

I noticed players and coaches prefer day games over night games as well

Heard Cam Ward say it specifically

I could see this happening.
That said, I could also see UGA losing to Ole Miss on Saturday.

This is a crazy year in which we just do not know yet who will step up and who will fade away.

So…..if we win out and are the #3 seed and get a bye, which bracket would we play?

Things change, right?...
But for now, if we win the ACCCG we will most likely be a #3.
The 3 plays the 6/11 game winner.
That 6 spot is "reserved" for the SEC (Texas, A&M, UGA) or BIG (OSU or O) championship loser.
Seeded @ #11?...who knows...Boise/Bama/ND/Indiana/Tennessee, etc.

Don't know.
Ole **** has a very favorable schedule this year.
Their "SEC Gauntlet" shows their best win so far was at USCe.

Given that....Ole **** by 3 scores.

Back to the topic at hand... ... not too many people are talking about this but it will be a new, interesting crowd dynamic with the bye week addition.
Our fickle/fair weather fans will theoretically have an extra 13 days or so to purchase tickets which might really help us since we do not usually travel well to bowl games. Making it more imperative that we win out and get the Conference championship trophy. We might actually have crowd advantage in a non Orange Bowl New Year's game which is very rare for us historically.

To be fair what they did to SCar is pretty impressive. Scar is one of the most underrated teams in the country imo. Should/could have beat both LSU and Bama if not for some sus officiating vs LSU and choke job from the QB vs Bama.

I wasn’t insinuating Miami would get it. A 12-0 Miami missing out on the ACCCG on a crazy tiebreaker and carnage in the other conferences make it a discussion, though.
Since Clemson got embarrassed by Louisville, a 12-0 Miami is guaranteed a spot in the ACCCG. No tiebreakers to worry about.
