If Clemson beats SMU..

That's one aspect that chaffes my *** too. How do you come out and say that some team's position/rankings won't change regardless of what happens?

I'm irrationally ****ed-off...still

If I’m not mistaken, the playoff committee saying it won’t penalize teams in the championship game isn’t actual written policy, it’s just as much made up bull**** as saying Miami blowing a 21 pt lead is worse than Bama getting crushed by Oklahoma. They could just as easily say, “upon further consideration, we think it is only fair to take into account performance in championship games when determining the best teams for the playoffs. As evidenced by Bamas inclusion in the last ranking, sometimes the playoff caliber teams don’t make it to their conference championship game.”
The committee has been very inconsistent.

They said that they wouldn’t penalize those teams in their conference championship games, but Warde said this week that Alabama could potentially jump SMU. Also, Boise is currently in the playoffs today but if UNLV wins, they will surely be bumped.

Warde also previously said teams can only play the schedule they have, however they point to us not playing any top 25 teams.

If SMU loses, they are out. Did you not hear that Buffalo ***'s Meatchicken ************ say that they could still move SMU depending on the outcome of Saturdays game? You know why?? ROLL TIDE!!

We don’t like lobbying for our team. Instead, ’Canes prefer to do what we complain other fan bases and media do and push us down as far as possible.

Other teams will do anything and everything it takes to find a narrative that supports them and push it as hard as they can until the fat lady sings. Whatever it takes to get in, no matter how small a chance.

But not us! We won five national championships in such a short amount of time, we have to be harder on ourselves! We don’t deserve it.
Canes fans (at least the message board types) love to hate their own team like no one no other in the country.

The committee's only purpose is to manipulate the rankings for tv views.

Weird how we blew it, but Alabama can lose to a pair of 6-6 teams and not blow it. Weird, huh?
I keep asking this same question when people are saying we blew it. Alabama also blew it and blew it worse than we did. Alabama looks more like a bad team with a couple big upsets (looking at Kansas), but overall losses to other bad teams.

Clemson wins and both SMU and Clemson are in whole Alabama is now left out.

The committee already burned their bias card, they couldn't drop SMU and if they did you'd see Big 12 and ACC go ballistic

(Big12 is setting up to not get a bye and their commissioner is already chirping about it)
Committee has already stated if SMU loses, they may drop them below Bama.

SMU loses they are gone. No chance they put SMU in over Bama.

the commitee already said they aren't going to punish teams for playing a championship game. and they aren't going to punish dorment teams.

SMU loses then bama gets knocked out.

Clemson winning would mean we would need to jump SMU and Alabama. Not happening. Only potential path (if you can even call it that) is an egregious *** kicking of Georgia with all 22 starters losing limbs in the process.

ACC should have went ballistic over Bama over miami. I have no faith in the ACC to do anything in this scenario but we can hope I suppose.

We’re not jumping anyone. The question really comes down to what happens if SMU loses a close game to Clemson.

I don’t know if we deserved it but I can say for **** sure Bama didn’t deserve it.

committe chair already said its possible for bama to jump smu if they lose. I'm not rooting against smu but I'm curious to see what happens if they lose.
