I think from a team standpoint he's where he needs to be. He's already eclipsed his last year's yardage total.he can get 30-40 yds at minimum ...

If he’s running +100 yards it’s because the line is breaking down like it did with VT. He’s capable but it’s not necessary.Along with us winning… I think he needs one or two 100 yard rushing games and another 400 yarder passing to contend against the SEC bias.
If he took a plane he'd get to NYC faster
idk ... if he poses a legit threat to run ... he'll open up passing lanesIf he’s running +100 yards it’s because the line is breaking down like it did with VT. He’s capable but it’s not necessary.
We don't need Ward to run for 100 a game. He simply need to keep doing what he is doing. Accomplish that, and he is in NYC atop the ballot.
yeah, 100 is too many hits ... but there's 40-60 a game easy ...
That's not even an opinion. Just the truth.
They can't load the box, spy the QB and shut down the passing game at once. Pick your poison. I'd like to see him run for 100+ yds one game & make people gameplan for it.
Running game needs LB's to hesitate.
My preference is that QB runs are saved for big games instead of something they need to do every week, like Mahomes breaking out the QB runs deep in the playoffs, but if Miami is going to be in dog fights against average ACC teams then they will need the runs. The long term advantage to Ward running the ball as he did against VT is that it makes it harder and harder for teams to run man to man pass defenses as our receivers and TE’s can just run their defenders out of the play as they did Friday night. Force teams to run a zone defense and Cam should pick them apart with ease.
Or teams stay in Man but keep a spy on Ward which is one less defender in pass coverage. Either way, Ward running the ball on passing downs is a great addition to this offense.
