if cams ward runs it ... he'll without a doubt be in new york

The long term advantage to Ward running the ball as he did against VT is that it makes it harder and harder for teams to run man to man pass defenses as our receivers and TE’s can just run their defenders out of the play as they did Friday night. Force teams to run a zone defense and Cam should pick them apart with ease.

Or teams stay in Man but keep a spy on Ward which is one less defender in pass coverage. Either way, Ward running the ball on passing downs is a great addition to this offense.

Surprises me when people don't see this especially after watching us play vs mobile qb's such as Drones.

If he keeps doing literally exactly what he's doing right now, he will absolutely be in New York. He is currently tied with Travis Hunter at +500 to win the Heisman, Milroe is the leader at +250.

Nobody else is better than +1000. Jeanty is at that number, Gabriel, Nico, and Dart all behind him.

Long way to go, people have a tendency to come out of "nowhere" in these races, but he's absolutely got himself in prime position to be a Heisman finalist through 5 games.

saying he's the front runner 5 games in is really subjective ... milroe's gonna have more opportunities, as is hunter and a few other guys ... i think those 40-60 yards rushers wins us more games and elevates his status ... but it's been well document, there's only maybe two more marque games for him in terms of national impact
Media will crown Milroe each game.

Exactly… his stats prior to the UGA weren’t anything to write home about. But against great competition he throws for 370+ and rushes for over 100 with one turnover and some are ready to crown him.

I don’t want Cam doing a whole bunch of running either but I do think he’ll need to grab a 100 yarder or two on the ground to make it difficult for voters or they’ll hand it to Milroe just because

If Cam keeps averaging 330ish passing with 30-40 yards rushing while winning and Milroe starts putting together 250ish passing along with multiple 100 yard rushing games while winning the odds won’t be in Cam’s favor to win.

SEC bias is so apparent. UGA game he played great, yes. But through 4 games his stats vs Cam (5 games):

Milroe - 73% completion, 964 yards, 10/1 TD/Int - 241 YPG / 2.5TD
Ward - 70% completion, 1,782 yards, 18/4 - 356 YPG / 3.6TD

Milroe 273 yards rushing 8TD (yes that is a big number) - 68 YPG / 2TD
Ward 146 yards rushing 2 TD - 29 YPG / 0.4TD

So, Milroe accounts for 1,237 yards and 18 TD
Ward accounts for 1,928 yards and 20 TD

Sorry, but what I see is a QB that is getting the red zone rushes to get to those 8TD's. He's contributing 309 YPG in total, Ward is at 385.

You showed us facts. But if I recall Christian mccaffrey had the edge on Derrick Henry with stats and he lost

the only equalizer to sec bias is to run the table ... if he does that i think our logo will put him over the top

I think if Cam can cut down on the turnovers a little, continue producing at the level that he is while we go undefeated in the regular season, and beat Clemson in the ACC CG, he’ll win the Heisman.
