I Despise The Meathead…

Even Saban provided more transparency about decisions than Mario.

He does great in the offseason, but in season the wheels fall off. Game decisions lack judgment (I know I know the clock guy is there)… and not making coaching changes in season is redic. He doesn’t want to show he’s the leader. I think that’s the problem.

Alpha this alpha that, he doesn’t act like an alpha in his own org. Brian Kelly woulda fired dumb *** Guidry after the first loss. Wholesale changes.

There are coaches who make huge changes in season to fix deficiencies. He chooses not to be that coach. A bit scary.

…more than any other corch in the history of our Canes.

Obviously winning isn’t important to him. On top of being an absolute moron when it comes to having a feel for the game, game day decisions and time management, he also rather let losing permeate the team than bring Cam back in to get us in FG range.

To all of the Mario Bros., eat a ****!

I feel the same way about Al Folden.

I genuinely hate him forever.

I don't hate Mario because I never expected him to do anything more than what he's done thus far.

Mario's tenure is/was inevitable, so for me it's more so like watching a movie that you've read the book for. You already know the ending, but it's still entertaining to see.

I just feel bad for all the people who really thought this dude was going to Coach well above his means in a far worse situation. I remember all the arguments I had with people during that 2021 season who thought he was going to replicate what he did at Oregon in Miami & I said then it was simply not possible.

Oregon is the easiest job in CFB & Miami is quite possibly the most difficult. In order to take us where people want us to go, you'd have to be an ELITE coach & Mario has never been that.

Ultimately, I think people just got swept up in the emotion of him being a former Cane, because for some really odd reason there's this sentiment that exists that Miami can only be Coached by former Canes or by someone from Miami who "gets the culture". I've always thought that was a really asinine idea, but unfortunately, the people who have the money think it's basically the Law.

It's why we've been stuck in this loop for the greater part of 2 decades; The people with the money keep hiring a different version of the same Coach over & over again in hopes of recapturing a thing of the past.

It's really become a tragic comedy at this point.
This was about as much of an eye-opening post for me as I’ve read in a while. Puts a lot into perspective. Wow! 😩

Honestly I don't think the hires about getting the culture. If you look at other Saban assistant coaches at their alma mater most have done fairly well but no question Mario had the hardest job of any of them. He has he improved the Win total exponentially every year. admittedly it's easier to go from 5 to 10 wins than it is to go from 10 to undefeated. He also hast to deal with the perception of the ACC especially with the portal guys. because we don't have a quarterback or a defensive coordinator yet people are assuming a tremendous slide to five or six wins only. With Florida and Notre Dame on the schedule not to mention the backlash of the Georgia Tech and Syracuse losses still looming he can't really afford to go backwards which is why I know we'll get a portal quarterback. To me he gets a B minus this year. I think until he actually takes a step back Canes fans should support him a lot like Ohio State and Florida fans are supporting their head coach even if irrational. One week Ohio State fans are saying "he's definitely going to be fired for losing to Michigan." The next week they're saying "we beat the SEC so now we're gonna win the national championship" Florida fans go from buyout to taking care of all Florida teams and running the state so they think I think Miami fans need to follow that! instead of thinking that Mario is going to collapse support him until he gives you a reason not to. Yes he fell short of two ultimate goals but the blame for that was obvious and he took care of that today.
