Edge made all decade for the 2000's. I think he'll get in eventually, but it will take a while.

Hester has pretty much no shot, the HOF doesn't really love special team players.

Gore would need some insane run to finish his career to even be in the conversation, there are 19 players ahead of him in career yards who aren't in the Hall of Fame (including Edge).

Lewis and Reed are concrete locks, Wilfork should be a first ballot HOF, Reggie and Andre will get in, but the logjam at receiver will take a while.

Stats wise, both Dre and Reggie are on pace to finish top ten in both receptions and yards.....

I think they'll both get it in eventually. Andre getting a ring will help him. When the 2nd leading receiver all-time in NFL history (Chris Carter) has to wait, they will too.

Miami of Ohio has 2-- as many as the gator.
No college and 2; Duke has 3
3 junior colleges has as many or more than the gator
wait it isn't that bad -- UGA only has 2 also--that should make gator feel better.

Golden should mail that list to recruits. WOW Bama only has 7; guess their players have always not lived up to expectations.
 
Bama claims national titles back when they were still wearing leather helmets and only have 7. We have only been relevant for about 30 years and already have 6.

This year is big for Hester. If he gets a few returns this year he has a strong case.

Reed and Lewis are locks
I have to think AJ and Wayne get in

So if someone of Hester, Wilfork, or Edge can get it we could tie USC.

There was a time when schools like Georgetown were actually decent in football, and played other major schools. i think UM had played them a few times. That was most likely back in the '30's or '40's.

I remember in the '50's when UM used to play Bucknell.
 
My take:

LOCKS: Ray Lewis and Ed Reed

1 or 2 more years of solid production: Reggie Wayne and Andre Johnson.

Wayne is probably in already, but another stud year this year will have him in for sure (not 1st ballot though).
Andre actually has a chance to be first ballot. He's already the only WR in history to have 3 seasons of 1550 yds +. He's well on his way to another. And he leads all wr's in yards per game. If he doesn't have injury problems, he's already a lock... but he has... so he still has work to do.

Most likely in but will need time: Edge is probably in. He needs Peyton to retire and start stumping for him. I truly believe that both Brady and Peyton are going to take a ton of teammates in with them.


As for the other 2:

Gore: he has almost no shot. he needs another 3000 rushing yards and a superbowl win to even think about it. He may get the ring, but i don't see another 3k in his future. He's never been 1st team all pro (though he should have been in 2006 when he led the league in rushing).

Hester: He had his chance. He broke the record for TDs and then went in a horrible drought.. and now it looks like he's nearly done. If he can get to 20 return TDs he may have a chance... but I just hope he can get 1 more to be honest.
 
lastly.... If Jimmy Graham can stay healthy and continue with Brees for another 5 seasons... he will put up some insane numbers.

There's a chance he could have almost 8000 yards and 70+ Td's by the time Brees starts to slow down.

No TE will have a 7-8 year run like that. I'm pulling like **** for him. Stay healthy kid.
