How the "penalties" narrative is playing out in real time...

Oh wow, didn't know that. Of all the craziness in that game, it seemed like that call was the easiest to make. It wasn't even close imo.

And this is the point, really.

As easy as that call was to overturn, in this hot-take headline-driven world, all the sports talking heads care about mentioning is that IT HAPPENED, not whether it was right or wrong.

Cam throws for 300 yards in every game, brings us back from a 25 point deficit? Nope, let’s talk about the three times the replay booth got the calls right…

On our the touchdown to George, the defender held Restrepo at the top of his route, but nothing.

There are so many missed calls if you look for them, our DL was held almost every play, look at the Bain sack where even the announcers had to call it out since it was so obvious. It is what it is.
they made a big deal about Kiko so call pass interference, which blows my mind, Restrepo catch, the one he attempted to complete, while falling to the ground, there was an obvious face mask, guess what, silence

Exactly. They all ended up saying that the refs got it right in the end, but it does not matter at all. The damage is done, and they made sure to rehash the alleged pattern of Miami being helped out by the refs. And THAT is what people remember.

Of course....the national narrative among sportswriters and broadcasters is solely based on Miami fans "tuning it out" or not...

I didn't realize this thread would turn into clown-bait, but it did.
I was kind of surprised to hear Packer and the boys on the ACC network pushing this narrative in regards to the supposed Fumble TD. I really don’t understand how any person who considers themselves to know football could consider that a fumble, yet here they were on national radio basically saying the call was blown. I didn’t like that Tobacco Road shill before but he’s on the **** you forever list now.

He did it because his employer requires him to. That’s why they all did. It’s clearly coming down from corporate.
