Besides Stacy Coley, Duke Johnson and Tracy Howard, what kids would you consider to be elite on this team?

Denzel , maybe, if he played in the right system; same for McCord. Hard to tell with our staff.

Who cares? It shouldn't take a roster full of elites to prevent what happened against Duke, VT, or UL. A roster of elites can't save this collection of coaches.

They were all elite in HS, and many were projected to be elite in college. Unfortunately, they can't overcome the poor corching.

Tired of talking about players. Team had enough talent to win 11 games this year. A lot of guys would look a ton better in a different scheme.

How many elite players does Auburn have? How many did they have last year?

Flowers and Burns?????

Were you guys sleeping through the game? Those two were exceptionally bad yesterday (although the entire line had problems reading whatever bush league scheme their D-line was throwing at us).

I'd say Hurns was an elite talent this year. His footwork and hands were exceptional (even though he had that drop on 3rd down). Really a remarkable season for him.

I agree with the part on Hurns, I'm just saying in terms of the future

Here comes the "we don't really have any good players" angle. It was only a matter of time. Thanks, Tito Spinach.

I'm well aware that coaching plays a big part in player development and how well these kids do, but the reality is I just don't think this team is as good as advertised.

When AJ Highsmith and Kacy Rodgers are still prominent players in your secondary, you lack talented depth. Golden and co. have had 3 years to deal with those two and obviously there seems to be little progression made, but the reality is that those guys are just not that good.

I'm in no way making an excuse for Coach Golden, there are a lot of question marks and guys he's brought in that have still not developed, but look at the entire body of work before focusing the entire blame on one particular aspect. I think it's a combination of both things: Poor coaching on some ends and poor players

I agree and let's be honest about last night - Howard, Burns and Jenkins got burned on key plays leading to the scores. In position to make the play and got beat. Those were not Coach D scheme or development issues, those were the offensive players wanted it more issues.

Golden may or may not be a good coach, but he is not the one hyping up the team. He warned us all year.
