How good is Richards?

I need to watch more Alabama football games, I didn't realize people outside of CBS/ESPN announcers considered Ridley to be in the Watkins/Cooper class of player.

He's not. Cooper and Watkins were both top 5 NFL selections. No one else on this list is likely to be drafted thar high

I'm still trying to figure out how there were 20+ receivers 247 sports thought were better than Richards. ..
ESPN too . When i was watching their signing day coverage they had him listed as like the #31 reciever on our commit list . They didnt even mention him when talking about our best commits

His the real deal. Comparing him to guys who are ahead of him and who have put up highlights at the next level is really not fair because they are clearly better today. If Richt runs the offense he said he's going to run, I think Richards will have a chance to be as good as the guys mentioned in that list. For obvious reasons he's going to get a lot of burn this year, but Cager is quickly becoming my favorite receiver. I expect him to have a great year.

Ridley is good but two things about him:

-Plays in a stacked Bama team
-Is 21 years old as a freshman

Richards is already right there with Ridley, expect him to be top 2 by the end of his time at the U with Watkins.

Exactly on Ridley. Give me Richards in three years and we're saying Ridley who?

Cooper and Watkins in my opinion are the only two he will have a hard time catching at this level.

I'd put it like this on where they can finish their collegiate careers.

Watkins, Cooper and then the rest who knows. I don't see anyone besides Calloway and Richards having the potential to sit beside those two. Ridley, once again, has years on them so he should be more mature, physical, and ready. Good wideout, but how much room does he have to grow?

All I know, with Richt calling the shots, soon we will be WRU again. I'm in love with our receiving corps. I see a lot of quick strike offensive production and don't think there's a defense out there that'll be able to contain these boys. I think Richards will be a beast here....I love Coleys tape, but Richards seems to appear a lil more mature in his strength at this same stage...but I think we can all agree Richards is grossly underrated....no way he's the 31st best Wide Out in the country. Bama wouldn't have been on him so tough if that was true.

Ridley Jr stats
41 catches for 1,131 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Richards Jr stats 1300 yds 24tds

Is it me or does it seem like Ahmmon is going half-speed in his tape? Doesn't seem like he's running as fast as he can to me.

Amri and Calvin to me are great route runners they can separate and get open and both have a third gear and are take extremely light running steps.

Antonio is just a gamer and has good overall attributes at everything.

Stacey is the fastest of them all but does not have the route running technique as them all.

Richards has great speed and can catch no all he had to do is learn to run routes precisely. Calvin took tops off of defenses because of the running threat of Alabama and the have other possession receivers that all factors in.

But to me Calvin and Amari are a step above because they run very good routes and combine that with talent and speed you will be unstoppable

Coley's legend far exceeds anything he's ever done here. I hope he proves me wrong this year, but he is seriously overrated around here.

Thank you. The only thing I would even use to compare Coley to Watkins/Cooper is speed. Both have him beat in physicality, route-running, and catching. While I think Coley is a good receiver, he doesn't have that "it" factor that Watkins and Cooper have.

Mike Wallace is my pro comparison for Coley

Coley had Al Golden as his head coach.....Cooper had Nick & Sammy had Dabo....much better coaching situations

Coley got that it factor our OC didn't have it....if dude would of went to FSU,Clemson,Bama you guys would have a different tune....

Coley has been the best receiver on our team since his freshman year...better then Hurns & 1st rd Dorsett....

Get out your feelings & be happy he is on our team ready to do big things this 2016 season.....

What made Coley stand out his freshman year was his kr/pr ability. None of the others did what he did -- score four different ways in one season.
But then his returns came to a screeching halt in his soph year and he never came back to that role. Never understood exactly what happened there.

You're absolutely correct, I'm not in my feelings though.

We will be in good shape at WR and TE next year. I predict 1,000+ yards for Coley and 750+ yards for Njoku and good contributions from the other receivers.

Statistically ahmmon Richards has been the most or one of the most productive players ever at receiver in south Florida. He's a baller. He's definitely in the mold of those guys talent wise, he is the type of player who have gotten away these past couple of years. Should be scary with this receiver core, dynamic tight ends, kaaya and the running back group. Talent wise Miami has a top 5 or top 10 offense. Oline should be much improved and there is some quality talent on there as well

Richards is a baller plain and simple
Just throw it up and he will come down with it. Looking foward to his brother too.
