How did we miss on Issac Brown?

Why do I want Ajay to stay? Cause I want good talent to stay on my team. With the running back position you could lose 3 out of 5 backs very easily in a season and be down to ur 4th or 5th best back. Texas has lost their top 2 backs this season. If we lose Ajay then I really hope Mario gets a 2nd back in the 2025 class. So yes I want Ajay to stay
Maybe we can get brown to come home.. Alot of that freshman class need to come back.. Im not encouraging a 4th year player to come and be 3rd/4th string.. that crazy lol

I have no inside information. It's just my observation that any fan can see. He has jump cut moves and he's fast. If he stayed at Nebraska, he'd be a 3-year starter there. Needs to play for a team where he can be the feature in my opinion.

He only has 2 years left too. I'm just hopeful he stays. We need to get another back cause if we lose AJay that means we lose 2 backs and only have 1 coming in

Ok maybe 4th, he’s not better than Lyle

I love Lyle but Brown dominated a good Clemson front last night. I was in the Lyle camp until last night. Brown seems special. As a true freshman he made Clemson looked like fools out there. Louisville got a great one. My argument is Brown went to the right place cause he would have never gotten that many snaps over here. We're deep

Let’s be real, even if he was here it would be unlikely he would get much burn. We have our own version of him in CJJ. The depth chart is too stacked at RB.
CJJ is not where near Issac browns level.. while he is “faster” than brown. He lacks wiggle, vision and the body composition at the moment doesn’t allow him to break tackles.Yea, CJJ isn’t Brown. But u are right, brown would be Rb3 or 4 here this szn.

Lyle was higher on our board last szn than brown which am cool with. But we chose Wheatley-Humphrey over brown, only time will tell whether we made the right decision. Right now it’s hard not to look at that decision side ways…

if you swap the 2, Jordan Lyle would start for Louisville. We’re just so deep at RB. I do agree he went to the right place though.

Just hope he doesn’t go to another ACC school

In today's world, I don't see players sitting when they can actually play at high level somewhere else.

Sit 2 years to be 3rd string? Nope.

Well then my bigger question is why are we only chasing one RB in 2025 class? Were losing Damien and hopefully not Ajay

You cant get them all. But there is the portal !! Look at Cam Ward for example. How did he only have one offer from incarnate word?

That's an easy one, it's sport.

There's a lot of talent out there who never get a chance or were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Wrong offense, defense, injury, not enough support from teammates, poor coaching, school doesn't typically produce, work ethic that improves over time, body matures, questionable attitude l, and the list goes on.

****, we've been the poster child for a place where talent came to die prior to this year. In some cases we're still under performing, but under different coaches somewhere else, some of our past guys from our down time would've shown out.

I've always had this belief that situations often dictate a more significant portion of how an athletic career will turn out. It's why you see players go somewhere and blossom at times when they were just a normal player before. Landing spots can kill a career just as much as the starting point.

Don't get me wrong, work ethic, base talent level, and attitude is collosal, but there's places and coaches factor bigtime. Think of JJ, I've always said he was the best we ever had as he got so much out of players here and in the NFL. Some players never get a coach who will get the most out of them.
