How did we miss on Issac Brown?

We have a great RB room. Who has a guy like Allen sitting on their bench? We have a plethora of good backs.

Yeah, there’s something to be said for big, bruising backs. Brown ain’t never gonna shed 4 tacklers and carry 3 more into the end zone for a TD. What Martinez and Lyle lack in blazing speed they make up in Smashmouth.
Didn’t Lyle turn in the fastest speed in the country on that 91-yarder vs USF?

Maybe you meant to say Fletcher.

🤷‍♂️

Leaving the game Saturday I was behind a group of 4-5 people coming down the ramp, 2 of them wearing a jersey with Capers on the back. Assuming it was family.

They were headed to the area where players come out to wait. Cussing and throwing a fit about him not playing and needing to transfer. Saying how can the defense give up 52 and him not even see the field and how he’s better than who is playing. I know he reclassed up a year so technically is still young but they don’t seem happy.

If true, keep that mess away from us

This year’s Tutu Atwell

At least in the case of Tutu we had been whiffing badly at WR and lacked his top end speed, especially on STs. Numbers wise there's more room for WR. Brown is a good RB and SFL produces 4 or 5 of those every year, we have to make choices. UL is very good about finding them though. You've got to give them that over the years.

homestead kid is explosive as **** and if he gets a crease he's gone. Did we not recruit him at all?

Also, whatever happened to TJ CAPERS? Wasn't he a highly rated 4* from Columbus? He can't even get burn at Louisville?
The same way everybody and their momma missed out on the Jeanty. It’s not like Jeanty went to small school in Idaho.

Not all kernels pop at the same time.

Good point.

They even got Donald Chaney Jr, who, IIRC, was a RB everyone on here wanted.

To sit the bench, he might as well be playing at home and getting developed…shorter drive for the family too😁

He's not a miss. We signed Lyles and Hellcat. I hate when fans do this.

We are loaded at RB and Louisville is not. Players see the field early at programs that don't have depth. If Lyles, Hellcat, or CJ were at Louisville, they'd be balling out as well. This is the dilemma for high school recruits. Go to top programs and wait your turn or go to a mid tier program and play early.

Also, Brown is a smaller back. Mario likes the power backs, which I wouldn't be surprised if CJ transfers. CJ would shine in an offense that stresses speed over power. I wish he'd get more playing time and touches.
