Herman to LSU

Lol its funny how much so many white ppl on this site are so uneasy bc Charlie Strong is the HC at Texas... This site didn't care about Texas until they hired a black head coach lol hilarious

:q3XKXeX:

Crazy...Best part is all the white people who down-vote..

The better part is how obsessed with color you two seem to be....crazy.

:q3XKXeX:

All the unapologetic bigots on this site and we're obsessed with color? That's rich!

Nothing personal, but this always happens when a person of color--or anyone for that matter--points to the realities of racial dynamics in our surroundings.. People like yourself, who the message may not pertain to, get unnecessarily offended and claim the people pointing out facts are un-patriotic or race-baiting (like they did with Kaepernick), because it makes some (white) folk uncomfortable.

Listen, if you're perturbed by someone pointing out reality then you have to look in the mirror and wonder why you feel that way.

Would you lump yourself in the category of "unapologetic bigots"? You seem to have a problem with white folk as you affectionately call them. I am told that people of color cannot be racists because they are not in a position of power but does that also excuse them of being prejudice or bigots?

My guess is that you have no idea who NJshoreCane is and likely have never met him. Yet you are certain that he is white and also a bigot because of what you perceive to be a reality that he for some reason has a problem with Texas because they hired a black head coach. What facts do you have suppport that attack? If you don't have any then maybe it is time for you to take a look in the mirror and stop making claims about people that you know nothing about. It isn't a good look.

Also before you include me in this group of unapologetic bigots, as I assume that's what you do with people who may disagree with you, I am a Native American. While I am aware of the history and unfair treatment of other people of color I am VERY aware of what happened to my people. I have friends of all races and colors...I employ black, latino, and white people so spare me your lecture.

nah... I'm no bigot, but if you can find a post where i've expressed myself in that way i'll leave the board.

A Racist and a Bigot are two different things, and being systemically oppressed doesn't preclude you from being intolerant, ignorant, or prejudice; but what does that have to do with this conversation?

If you bothered to read or could comprehend my post, you would have realized I simply responded to NJshoreCane, who replied to a post that wasn't directed to him or anyone in particular. NJshoreCane (whom I assumed nothing about and never called a bigot) unnecessarily directed a post toward me and essentially made my point about certain people who attempt to shout-down or shame anyone (black or white) who points to the realities of the racial dynamics in America. Why did NJshoreCane feel the need to do that? Why do you feel the need to come to his defense? It seems you two are the ones on attack...

Knowing the characters on this site, do you deny there are bigots on this board and there could be a perverse fixation with Charlie Strong based on the color of his skin? Looking at the demographics of coaches in football (college & professional), and knowing the well-established lack of diversity in the coaching profession that requires a rule (Rooney Rule) to ensure coaches of color get interviewed, how could you behave as if it's irrational or baseless that Charlie Strong could attract negative attention based on skin color?

Do you also deny that white folk and black folk generally respond differently to issues of systemic oppression when it's brought up in the mainstream media? So no, it's not about disagreeing with me or the subject matter. You can feel free to disagree all you want; but what is the basis of your disagreement?

1. I think you've mischaracterized my posting. Please read it again and you'll see I assumed nothing.
2. I appreciate your candor about your heritage and hiring practices, but it's irrelevant and, as you pointed out absolves you from nothing.
3. I appreciate your post despite the misunderstanding because, after all, your misunderstanding is the basis of my argument...
