Nothing personal, but this always happens when a person of color--or anyone for that matter--points to the realities of racial dynamics in our surroundings.. People like yourself, who the message may not pertain to, get unnecessarily offended and claim the people pointing out facts are un-patriotic or race-baiting (like they did with Kaepernick), because it makes some (white) folk uncomfortable.

Listen, if you're perturbed by someone pointing out reality then you have to look in the mirror and wonder why you feel that way.

I'm somewhat liberal and I don't agree with that bs. Like duke4heisman said, a lot of people wanted him here. No one here bashes Pat Sumlin.

You can rest assured Red McCombs and the boys got wind of this nonsense and have made it crystal clear to the UT brass that they need to quit fcking around with this "we'll make a decision on Coach Strong at the end of the season" bullshyt.

You wanna know how I knew the Herman to LSU **** was a negotiating ploy? When they said "it could get done as early as Saturday." If you have your guy, and he truly wants the job, then that **** would have been done already. LOL at it taking until Saturday.
 
Texas is crazy if they keep strong. Guy has lost that program.

I think the UT president truly loathes the football boosters and doesn't want to give them the idea that they're running things. He knows that booster money will NEVER dry up and probably realizes that there will be another Tom Herman next year or the year after. He's in no rush to fire a guy who is a lousy football coach, but who he genuinely likes and made a commitment to.

He probably also knows they have an over inflated sense of their football program. They've never been elite for a sustained period of time, yet, the boosters act as if they're Bama.

Would not be surprised if he told his people if they can get Herman okay, but if not, Strong comes back.

It'll get done Saturday night if Texas doesn't fire Strong as soon as the clock hits 00:00. Texas should jump the gun and fire Strong before he walks out of the tunnel for pre-game. For that matter, why wait until Saturday? I'd announce his firing now, but let him coach the last game, if he wants to. Strong has failed terribly, and even if they somehow miss out on Herman, they can make a run at any number of coaches with the money they have to spend.

I was watching the LSU/TAMU game when they sent the sideline reporter up to the visiting AD box. And she said he was not happy to see her, and had no comment.

That gave me pause, because it would be 2 years in a row that this dude has been rumored to jump the gun on something. And if it doesn't happen this year the way it's being reported, it will be 2 years in a row that he will look like Charlie Brown trying to kick a football.

If they don't get Herman, and are being used to leverage money out of FSU and Texas, then it might be time for LSU to find a new AD.
