Heisman Race

Jeanty is having an otherworldly season and looks to be the runaway Heisman favorite, current odds have him first, then Travis Hunter and then Cam. What can Cam do to win it? Or is Jeanty just a lock at this point? Naturally would love to see Cam win it.
No one from Boise st is lock for anything...

Johnson's numbers impress me more than Jeanty's. He is not the clear cut best running back in America. Same is true about Sanders.

This is a Cam vs Travias battle, and Cam is the more valuable player of the two - no if and or but about it.

Hunter is also a full time SHUT DOWN CB.
Not a shut down corner...go back and analyze him on the defensive side of the ball.
He has great or elite coverage on out routes digs and come back routes. He is absolutely trash with any vertical routes down the field when coverage. All of his pbus and interception are on quick route concepts.

Betting odds as of 11/6 morning
Cam +200
Travis +220
Gabriel +290
Jeanty +500

I know many here are dismissive of Travis but on a bye week he actually closed gap and they play texas tech this week who are terrible in coverage. Iowa st losing open door for colorado to make it on championship saturday if they dont stumble down stretch also..

Wonder if Cam will go on media tour during bye week.. PR is crucial.. I think if its close the give it to defender who plays both ways will rise.. Right now seems like a 2 man race.. I think perception of clemson would of helped on acc championship but they choked also..

Okay. I can agree to a certain extent. He's gotten beat a couple of times but who hasn't? And how often does he get tested? I wouldn't say he's absolutely trash on vertical routes. Not his strong point tho. And I don't think it should matter what routes all of his pbus and ints happen at. As long as it happens!

But okay. Shutdown could be a stretch. He's definitely considered ELITE on both sides of the ball tho. No question.

He didn’t close a gap on his off week. Last week he was the favorite.

That potential Clemson game was the one for him to make it 100%. Colorado likely won't play that weekend so if Cam did what he's done all year to a respected Clemson then it's open and shut.

Now we just have to hope eye popping numbers and undefeated is enough. Maybe SMU at 11-1 can be ranked 8 or so and make it a little prettier of a win for us/Cam.

Is he a corner or WR at the next level? He looks legit at both.
He's got allot of flaws in his game as a corner. Kids all finesse. Nothing necessarily wrong with that. But physical players can exploit that. Maybe if he was only playing corner he'd correct that cause he obviously had his moments. In those moments he does some amazing ****. I think wr is his best option though.

At this point, it is Cam's trophy to lose. If we win out, including ACCG, and he continues his current stat trajectory, no one can touch him.

I am all for him winning the trophy, but I would like him to real it in just a tad. The two main examples in the Duke game both resulted in TO's. First the INT when he should have just hit 6 on the check down. Second, on the last drive inside the 5. That play was run all the way. He changed it up and tried to get a passing TD. I hope he learned from those two plays. He is going to have plenty of stats to justify the trophy. No need to do something extra that could hurt the team.

I think he’d be a better corner if he didn’t play for prime 😂 and I love prime

Cam’s to lose. The revival of UM football is a sub-category that no one is talking about enough. It’s not him just doing it for Lincoln Riley or doing it at Bama. It’s THE U.

The whole story, from unranked with 0 offers to bringing back one of the best programs in CFB history. It means more when you’re a trendsetter & don’t follow.

I think Hunter would win this award MOST years (if he’s healthy) over a Riley QB. This though, this is different.

Keep winning - 45TDs, 13 wins and Miami has their 3rd heisman QB

Nah Dillon Ward and Jeanty fading were the guys after week 9.. He was in mix tho for sure.
Bro- i have watched the Heisman odds multiple times every week since the beginning of the season because i have placed several bets on Cam to win it since before the season and then adding more in the first few weeeks of the season. I promise you Hunter was the betting favorite last week.

Only reason I'd agree with that and I think it's probably what you mean is elsewhere he'd be coached up on everything. He's taken on too much of deions traits. He plays a finesse game & lacks fundamentals when you isolate him off the line.

As of the beginning of last week he was the favorite. By Saturday cam was the favorite again.
