It’s this exact type of game that tripped us up in 2017. On the road again against a beatable conference opponent. Stumbled out of the gate and took an L.

Obviously, a big difference this year because we have Ward, but still not a game to pencil in.

SP+ has their defense as the 60th ranked defense. So however good their run defense is, it can’t be that good when actually adjusting for the quality of the opponent and the pace of play.

I've been hearing a lot about how unstoppable King is but now we have folks that are telling us that the GT defense is the most stout we've seen this year. Something is not adding up.

Admittedly I'm a superstitiously pessimistic fan, but this game looks like a big problem. Their offense just seems to be good at everything Miami's defense struggles to stop, and they do so without making mistakes to beat themselves. Then on the other side of the ball, sure Miami should give them problems with the passing game, but GT is stout against the run. You could say this every week, but even moreso this week, Miami needs to start strong on offense and make it a track meet.

They lost to Louisville and VT.

This reminds me of the GT game in 2005 where we came in as big favorites and then came out flat. I think our offense is too good to score less than 20, but I could see us losing like 35-24 or something like that. The key will be beating Wake and Cuse to get the ACC title game.

Guidry is not going to a **** thing to stop King from running all over the place in the first half. Let's see what he can cook up during halftime.

They went from Top 20 last year in SP+ offense to 40 this year.

Because the passing game has regressed.

They are a very mid team that really doesn’t do anything that well. Their Special Teams is also like 115th.

If we lose to them, we lose to them. But we don’t need to pretend like this a good team.
