Haynes King announced as captain vs Miami

I expect the game to start like the Cal game …. Both teams had a bye week before playing us.. they should come out the gates prepared. In the end we get our revenge! 45- 21

A lot of Kings game is to to run. Let’s see what Guidry does to stop that and if King limits his running cause he doesn’t want to get hit.

That shoulder is clearly banged up so all it takes is one good shot on it or slamming him on it. He will exit the game after that.

He was 100% healthy last year and we smacked him around. He had one great throw at the end of the game but besides that he was average.

He’s also been average this year passing the ball before he got hurt. He’s been very 2023 Graham Mertz-like. He’s not turning the ball over and throwing many INT worthy passes. But that’s because he isn’t putting the ball in the air. His average depth of throw is horrible.

I was actually there for both. Duke was leading by 10 midway into the 3rd. You want to pound your chest about that then be my guest but we aren’t blowing people out how we should be.
Ain’t one team in the Country not named Indiana that goes around just pounding everyone. Just saying.

These ppl must not watch any games besides Miami.

College football is wide open nowadays. Close and closer to nfl where any given Saturday any team can win if it’s P4 vs P4.

There are no true dominant teams this year. Everyone is beatable

Admittedly I'm a superstitiously pessimistic fan, but this game looks like a big problem. Their offense just seems to be good at everything Miami's defense struggles to stop, and they do so without making mistakes to beat themselves. Then on the other side of the ball, sure Miami should give them problems with the passing game, but GT is stout against the run. You could say this every week, but even moreso this week, Miami needs to start strong on offense and make it a track meet.

I wonder if Aguirre gets a lot more burn spying King. I don't think Kiko

If you sleep on a team that beat you last year in the way they did then we deserve to lose.

Here's my prediction: If we give up 7 or less in the 2nd quarter we roll.
Popo is hurt

Guidry is not going to a **** thing to stop King from running all over the place in the first half. Let's see what he can cook up during halftime.

When all said and done, this could be just mind games. I mean, coach is mischievous as we just saw in the video. An injured player on the sidelines can still be a captain due to his stature/influence on the team (just like Cam would have in an unfortunate circumstance), talking to, and rallying the team when they get to the sidelines. Nothing is real till game time. And then I could be wayyyy off…

SP+ has their defense as the 60th ranked defense. So however good their run defense is, it can’t be that good when actually adjusting for the quality of the opponent and the pace of play.
