Has your "fanhood" been thouroughly tested?

As several stated, not fan-hood, but enthusiasm level for sure. The last 2 watching the worst D we have ever trotted on a field. Right down embarrassing in fact.

At this point I feel like half the teams when we play vs them: A win and im feelin like we jus won the MNC

Us vs The World that's how i always felt especially growing up in Criminole city. Whenever im on facebook i talk all the trash in the world for my team no matter what. i was attacked by 12 criminoles on facebook every week for saying we owned them this year and i loved it! We may not be the best team but we will always be a good team and thats what i love. im also a Ravens Fan so they have helped me out tremendously. during this rehab.

I had 50 yard line seats for that Frazier game. Had to sit and watch Nebraska fans celebrate winning the national championship on the other side of the stadium.

I'm still a huge fan, but the older I get the less important CFB and sports are.

Isn't that the truth. With a wife and kids, Saturday's aren't the same and I wouldn't trade the old days for the new. Typically I'll DVR the game, watch it whenever, and if we lose it isn't a big deal like it used to be. I used to get to 3 or 4 games a year even though they're now all road games for me, but I haven't even seriously considered attending one in four or five years. Perhaps when the youngins grow up some or peerhaps UofL this year, but it's not a high priority. My shirts and hats are getting older like me and a bit rough around the edges. I still wear them, the wife sleeps on them, but I haven't looked or bought anything in years.

The individual games don't mean anything.

Do we have brilliant people behind the scenes, winning every decision along the way? Once we moved to Sun Life Stadium, the answer is obvious, and devastating.

I still pay attention but I refuse to believe we'll return to a consistently lofty status until we're out of that building. There might be an occasional impressive season, due to normal distribution.

i remember that game specifically. It was like a dark moment in my childhood.lol... It made the whooping of Nebraska SOOOOO sweet for me.

I was actually in the bahamas, at my uncles house. I made my cousins give up the tv, we were playinmg nintendo or sega all **** day...and it was a break....i swear my cousins laughed at me as i cried while we lost and didnt even wanna play streetfighter any more. "Fanhood" was tested that day.....

I would give up all of football before cheering for another team.

Let me ask the old timers. Is this current period the worst it has ever been?

:ibisroflmao: This is paradise compared to the 70's If we had won 9 games back then there would have been a parade. We only won 41 games in 10 years and everybody WANTED to play us.

Will never waiver. Fan of the Canes since I understood what football was at 8 in '82. I was hooked. Wanted to play baseball for UM but family moved to TX and that was that. Married on the night of the "Comeback" and my wife and I watched the 4th qtr from our hotel.
Sat on the MNW side when Jacory and the cane commits beat Southlake in TX.
The 1st 2 Shannon years were the only years I didn't expect much but I watched every game regardless.
My expectations are high for this season. Feels different for some reason.

The 1 that burns the most... Ohio St championship game! Still to this day I am furious about it...

I am 31 years old and I have seen the ups and downs of this program. However, in the last 10 years we have witnessed this program change in so many ways like never before. We have gone from champs to chumps, literally. We left the Orange Bowl to play in an abortion of a stadium that isn't our own. We have raised our academics standards that makes it nearly impossible to compete with other elite schools in recruiting. We have established a strong disconnection with the South Florida community. We do not value tradition; for example, now we have new helmets and color uniforms. Sometimes it feels like I'm supporting a completely different program. My patience is wearing thin, not because of the wins and losses but because I have zero faith in Shalala and the AD. It feels as if they are part of the problem and not the solution.

If you're a kid and a loss can take the fun out of Streetfighter, well then you know you're a true fan

I was a Washington Senator fan when I was a kid. I don't want to hear anything about frustrated Jets, Cubs, etc.

Washington - first in war, first in peace, and last in the American League. It was a tradition, but did not shake my faith in them.

Last year I was a Canes fan during the crappy NCAA "investigation" also known as the "Whachusfukrselvs", a Magic fan during the Howard Dwightmare followed by a 20-win season, a Marlins fan through the Loria-sell-a-thon followed by a 100-loss season and a Jaguars fan during the imminent threat of a 0-16 season. I'm still a Canes-Magic-Marlins-Jaguars fan. True fans stick with their team no matter what. Canes or no sports.
