Golden talks recruiting

Disagree with WR. Did you guys see who we had to play in the spring game?

Our wide outs had a great year but for real, they were overachievers IMO. They are a solid, deep group but its full of #3's and possibly a couple of #2's.

Herb's potential of a solid 2

Dorsett is a great 2

Burns should be a bit guy

Scott probably has the most potential of them all, but he isn't a natural pass catcher and may not even be with the team come Fall Camp

We need a stud there

Scott will be reinstated first of the year. Golden already said this. What he did was dumb but certainly should not effect the long term future on the team.

Dorsett is defintely a number 1 option...

i think jontavious carter has the ability to turn into a better streeter, dont sleep on him. i also think malcolm lewis has the ability to be our best WR, much better than scott. the dude is a flat out baller and playmaker, I hope he's fully recovered for next season and ready to be the stud he's capable of being. our WR's can be special, we need to secure a coach who's gonna be able to keep developing them.

I've got real big hopes for Malcolm too. Think he can be a legit #1. His route running is impeccable already.

*Didn't have typical Miami speed when he got here
*They don't pull scholarships
*Rather go slow and methodical with recruiting then make a mistake by offering a guy too soon
*Beau brings maturity, can motion, go vertical, looking forward to the competition between the TEs.
*RB and offensive line classes this year very important with who is graduating after next year.

Ben saying this for a long time, and lots of folks here said nah, not a big deal, look who we have coming back.

We got some really good guys @ this position.

I think he meant Hurns

Don't sleep on D'Mauri, his senior film looked nice.

It's amazing how a guy can have offers from Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, and West Virginia, yet be listed as a two star.

We have a very nice OL class coming in between Gall (interior), Knighton (likely tackle), Kerr (he will be an OT here, just watch his senior highlights), likely Kirkland, and possibly Odogwu.

Add KC McDermott and Darling in 2014 and we have steady depth being maintained along the OL so long as the recruits are developed.

Yep. Al has this roster management game down pat.

Golden is such a pro. After listening to Randy and Larry for soo long its nice to hear a guy with an actual plan. Golden oozes confidence. I just hope he doesnt bolt and Shalala is ready to make a long term commitment to having a successful football program.

she isnt the problem w the football program. she did give the long contract so we dont lose him to other schools and if donations continue to increase we can build/upgrade more stuff around hecht like were doing right now with the schwartz center

He could he. What I was talking about was last year. There's tons of potential there and maybe our best WR got hurt just as he was emerging. Overall they did better than expected I think. We could use a real game breaker though.

My cousin plays Juco ball in Cali he talks to Strong and said he's pretty much down to UM,Arizona State and South Carolina but hearing that he has to be a UM lean because i'm pretty sure he isn't playing in the SEC in 2013 with the online class like Beau. Also what i didn't know is he got a UM offer in october i didn't know the staff was on him that long..

Good stuff jandman. I really like Strong and landing Beau should definitely help you would think. Also South Carolina would make him sit out a year so you would think its us or ASU.

Combined with Isadora, Flowers, and Gadbois we should be good after guys like Linder, Bunche and Henderson leave.
