*Didn't have typical Miami speed when he got here
*They don't pull scholarships
*Rather go slow and methodical with recruiting then make a mistake by offering a guy too soon
*Beau brings maturity, can motion, go vertical, looking forward to the competition between the TEs.
*RB and offensive line classes this year very important with who is graduating after next year.

Recruiting positions ahead of time and not waiting until the current starters graduate before bringing in their replacements? Wow. Unreal. What an amazing philosophy. Wonder how come Randy never thought of this.

Bringing in a freshman to learn and develop now to be ready to replace a player who'll be leaving 2 years from now as opposed to bringing in true freshman to replace seniors....that's crazy. Who even knew it was possible to do such a thing?

LOL@ Not having typical Miami speed when he arrived here......

But I was assured Randy left the cupboard full of talent when he left

That's just sad that he thought of a Miami team slower than his last Temple team

Thanks Randy

Did we have typical Miami ANYTHING when he arrived here? Maybe wideouts weren't bad.

Meh, we may have had typical Miami RB's when he got here but nothing else, James and Miller were good.

I have heard that the coaching staff truly believed that their talent at Temple when they took over this team was very comparable. That just shows you how far the talent level had fallen under Shannon.

OL,WR, and Lamar Miller were fine everything else was bare...

WR was not fine. Tommy Streeter and nobody else. And Streeter didnt run good routes.

And Oline was ridiculously out of shape.

Lamar is just a beast as is Mike James

I think that's pretty accurate.

Golden is such a pro. After listening to Randy and Larry for soo long its nice to hear a guy with an actual plan. Golden oozes confidence. I just hope he doesnt bolt and Shalala is ready to make a long term commitment to having a successful football program.

I listened to Golden's interview and I don't know if he was just spinning generic numbers but he did say, "We want the 20 right guys."
Sure sounds like we are not limiting ourselves on just 15 signees.
Also, to reiterate another post, it sure sounds like he believes this team is headed for a really big season next year.
