Golden/D'Onofrio Defensive Philosophy

The blitzes now suck, too. Our defenders might as well hold up a sign like Wile E. Coyote that says "I'm gonna blitz" before they do.

They're not nearly as bad the Shannon blitzes. He'd line up Jon Beason outside the DE before the offense even lined up.
Corch Dorito does the same exact thing bro.....

Did you not see the numerous plays where Corch D lined EJ up exactly as you described, pre-snap?

The only time our linebackers are within 7 yards of the LOS they are blitzing.

I agree Shannon was laughably bad. The only thing keeping Dorito slightly above him when it comes to blitzing is I believe he has sent a handful of corner blitzes that have somehow achieved their goal and created pressure.

While Shannon was laughably bad in his own regard, at least his defenses could stop SOME things.

This ************'s defense gives up 10 yards per play in the air or on the ground.

He's brought safeties and corners without completely telegraphing it, and actually had guys blitz up the middle without telegraphing it. Randy NEVER did that.

Don't get the wrong idea, Randy is/was a much better DC than Corch Dorito.

I can't wait til ya'll just shut the fu ck up...when we are winning again. Instant gratification is nice but it is not going to work in this situation...we are building Rome....not **** Germany.

All im sayin is if Dorito fails, some people on here are gonna look crazy how they going around givin this dude reach arounds every post

And if he succeeds some people gonna look crazy for how they've been busting his balls every step of the way.

I don't know if anyone can ever overlook his first 19 games as DC at Miami. Our defense has been atrocious with him and Golden at the helm and as a result we've gone 10-9 since those two dagos took over.

A non-probation era Miami Hurricanes defense ranked 118th in the country. Yeah, he's building something guys. He's a regular ol' Bear Bryant.

DA **** YALL WONT?!

And let's give it up for Dorito, had a defense at Temple who did well against Villanova, got to big time college football and ****s all over himself on the sideline. 118th in t he country.

But hey, gather round his recliner as he tells you the tales of the time he shut down Kent State's offense

coaching is coaching

its not like he had the eagles defense playing the atlantic 10

His buddy did just fine against Kent St and Buffalo. They're a far way away from playing Army every week.

What does that even mean?

Does that mean he's now going against offensive masterminds every week in the ACC?

Let's not forget he had Temple talent when he was going against Kent State, Buffalo, and Army.

I understand head coaches being overwhelmed when moving up from lower levels, but I don't get it with coordinators. It's a weird argument that no one has really articulated.

That's what I don't get.. people keep pretending they were playing with bama talent against Kent state, buffalo etc... they were doing that with temple talent.. and were 16th in scoring and total D in year 5.

This is Dorito's second year and we have shown no improvement from game 1 to game 7.. I understand though. He's all we got and you giving up hope is like saying we will suck for the next several years... You dont want to admit it.. You love Miami football too much.

I understant guys I understand.

Watch alabama play and then tell me that that is a bad system.

Thats what we are trying to run. Give it time.

Are you 100 percent sure Miami is trying to run Alabamas system? Or are you just guessing. Donofrio has said a few times now, Miamis D is a base 4-3.

We have Perryman, Cornelius, Armbrister, Gionni Paul, Jawand Blue, Jimmy gaines, Linebackers we bringing in? 210 pound Matthew thomas 205 pound Grace at LB all LInebvackers under 220. Fool we aint never gonna be Alabamas defense no way in **** their linebackers pushing 250-260

Lol, people must be holding on to hope that the D is having trouble because Miami is trying to transition to a 3-4 scheme. Also has anyone 100 percent confirmed with one of the coaches that the D is playing a 2 gap system? Or was that also just speculation from message board posters disecting plays on a TV screen.
