Golden/D'Onofrio Defensive Philosophy

Til he hits the standard 3 year mark where coaches usually have proven what they're gonna be.

Then shouldn't that extend to his choice in staff?

If D'Onofrio is so horrible, he should've seen it YEARS ago.

His buddy did just fine against Kent St and Buffalo. They're a far way away from playing Army every week.

Either Golden adapts and makes the tough decision, or he goes down in flames with him. There will be no middle ground. Dorito will not succeed here.

What does that even mean?

Does that mean he's now going against offensive masterminds every week in the ACC?

Let's not forget he had Temple talent when he was going against Kent State, Buffalo, and Army.

I understand head coaches being overwhelmed when moving up from lower levels, but I don't get it with coordinators. It's a weird argument that no one has really articulated.

All im sayin is if Dorito fails, some people on here are gonna look crazy how they going around givin this dude reach arounds every post

Don't worry. I'll be around to remind everyone about their lapse in football judgment in defending the Dorito pre-snap alignments and such

Defense will be 50% better next year. But thats not good enough. So we will have to ride with Golden and Dorito til 2014 where it will really show if he is successful or not. We dont have much of a choice either way.

I basically don't care what scheme UM runs at all. I just want it to be effective.

One thing I am REALLY sick of, though, is the ineffective blitzes. I actually think Corch D can dial up some interesting blitzes, they just suck at being executed. The blitzes under Randy were a complete joke.

The blitzes now suck, too. Our defenders might as well hold up a sign like Wile E. Coyote that says "I'm gonna blitz" before they do.

You should because you can't fit square pegs into round holes no matter what people on here say.

They're not nearly as bad the Shannon blitzes. He'd line up Jon Beason outside the DE before the offense even lined up.
