I haven't kept up... what women's team sport are we adding to offset the football scholarship increase? The perks of the scholarship limit increase means we can take Amari with absolutely zero concerns. Previous counter limit probably makes that a tough pill to swallow.
But now? Bring him on, let him redshirt and heal up with zero stress about roster numbers.

This won't be a popular take, but I'm underwhelmed by our class and recruting updates right now. It's good not great and I would have expected more given the season we're having. We have a lot of good players committed and that we are looking good with but where are the difference makers? Where are the game breakers?
Looking ahead after Cam Ward leaves, it would be nice not to take a step back. As much as Nickel is a good player, I'm not seeing elite with him. I'd say the players we have coming in are replacement level at best, but who is going to push us to the next level? Who is the big time playmaker that's going to start day 1 and elevate the room like Williams from Alabama or Smith at Ohio State?
We're a playoff type team now, and so a "Top 10" class isn't good enough anymore. Every team we're going to meet in the playoffs has top 10 classes yearly. I'd like to see us start competing for the #1 class year in and year out, and anything below a top 3 class should be seen as a failure. We need to start pulling in classes like Georgia, Texas, and Alabama. That's who we're going to be playing in the playoffs moving forward.
Definitely missing the high-end talent that we pulled in previous years, which is weird considering the on-field success we're having. But i'd bet the class at this point last year wasn't amazing either, so i'm hoping repeats that and pulls off some flips down the stretchThis won't be a popular take, but I'm underwhelmed by our class and recruting updates right now. Buddy they won't attack you because you are wrong. They will attack you because this uncomplacent rhetoric can't be tolerated. Good luck to you on your journey.Just being honest. If we had ANY QB other than Cam Ward, we would be 4-2 right now. We would have lost to Va Tech and Cal. We would be eliminated from the ACCCG already. It's a 7 or 8 win team without him.
We lose Ward next year. I'm sure we'll land a good portal QB but the chances of landing another Ward are extremely small.
So the way I look at it is we can't just be getting replacement level players, we need to get players that are difference makers if we want to take the next step or even just avoid slipping backwards next season and the following.
I somewhat agree but Mario is gonna flip some guys. I think we need a true number one receiver. I would like to see more size on the interior dline and of course we need more speed in the defensive backfield. But if we flip Hanks Pickett and a few others it's a top five class.Duck for cover, but….
*whispers*
…I agree
Although, I’d bet on us having some December fireworks if we keep this season up. A lot of high floor guys, but I agree we are lacking some top end immediate high impact guys that get us in that top 5 range. Which is what we need, JMO.
Neither they’d both still be writing….I have removed all copy/paste of the article and summarized everything. Much better for quick digestion on a forum and about 4k less words.
On an unrelated note, if Geo and @TheOriginalCane are both writing War & Peace volume II, who finishes first and why?

Although he makes a fair original point, what game changing prospects on par with guys like Jeremiah Smith or Dylan Stewart should we be landing this cycle ? I don't see anyone this year who is on that level, 2025 could just be a generally weaker high school crop compared to last cycle and what looks ahead in the loaded 2026 crop.Exactly
This is a norvell type class
unacceptable esp with the season we’re having

We're doing this again?
