$1.8 million buys a soft landing.Shouldn't celebrate someone's downfall...instead we should just look forward to the next hire.

No they aren’t. Now they are doubling down on “well this happened because arroyo was available”Are all the "Gattis is coming back" porsters now scattering like ****roaches?
serious question, if miami wasnt worried about a buyouy, why did it take this long? you mentioned it was complicated, just trying to understandThey magically decided to eat that “ monster buyout “ in less than 24 hours? Or maybe Miami wasn’t concerned about a buyout. These guys have no shame lol.
Gattis getting fired is great and all. However, the amount of talent we missed out on over the last 2 months as a result of the uncertainty makes it hard to celebrate.
That's one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is to celebrate us getting rid of the absolute worst coach we have had in a long time. I'm still holding my breath for who we hire next but the last two months are not make or break. This next hire, however, could be make or break.Gattis getting fired is great and all. Common sense after we took L after L with wrs in both the portal and with HS recruits. And you know it was a result, how?
Look at the bright side ... Miami signed an amazing OL class and some legit DL and RB's along with 2 legit slot WR's. There is STILL regular signing day in 10 days or so, still will have another portal window, and they ARE hot on the trails of some legit WR's for 2024. A new OC and a new WR coach announcement might result in the addition of a couple of difference makers via the portal before Fall practice commences. We aren't done yet!Gattis getting fired is great and all. However, the amount of talent we missed out on over the last 2 months as a result of the uncertainty makes it hard to celebrate.
The "report" didn't say we PAID the buyout ... it simply mentioned that a large buyout existed if it was a normal termination. It is simply a quick hack reporting job to get clicks ... there was no information from Dan Radakovich in that report. So .... it is still feasible and perhaps likely that a for cause termination was executed.definitely
the reports say we paid his buyout which means there was not true "fired for cause" situation.
the reason would be underperformance but that bum still got all his money it seems
I guess common sense isn’t your jamI honestly did not think this would happen. Very cool.
Mannnnn, I'm just trying be happy that this Gattis chapter is closed and optimistic that Mario gets it right this time with the mulligan that he has been given.Gattis getting fired is great and all. However, the amount of talent we missed out on over the last 2 months as a result of the uncertainty makes it hard to celebrate.
My **** would be Rising with him
No guarantee that he got that ... or anything.$1.8 million buys a soft landing.
