Semi-related question: Is Kiffin actually angling for a job? I know he’s job hopped his entire career and he’s pretty much hit the ceiling at Ole Miss. is there a chance another school scoops him up after this season while the gator is still keeping Billy around? That's kind of my point. If he goes 8-4, it will be a really good coaching job. And then they'll be stuck in the "is it good enough?" stage and caught in a pretty bad position on deciding their future from there.

The boosters have to be willing to pay 10’s of millions of dollars in the next few months. I don’t think they will if Strickland is picking the next HC. That said, I don’t know if Napier’s buyout can be paid over time.
