As far as the timing and recruiting, this might be the worst coach retention announcement I’ve ever seen

I believe this will have a disastrous effect on recruiting. Will be interesting to watch it unfold.

He's a lame duck coach he really has no credibility behind next season for an OC to commit to him so the job may be extremely difficult to fill

I wasn't sure who I would root for when UF plays FSU. Now that I know Billy's job is safe, I'll root for FSU. Imagine the tears from Florida fans knowing they are keeping Billy even after a loss to FSU.

My Bull Gator partner is distraught. He says that Strickland knows that with the president situation he needs to win soon or he will end up at Old Dominion or Vermont, so he embraced those who think that Lagway will lead Billy to the playoffs next year. He also says that he expects money to slow down and that the team may have an embarrassing recruiting and portal class. I offered him a seat on the Cane train and he gave me the middle finger!

Welp..... at least he showed you that he is a true gator. Cause if the shoe was on the other foot, there's no way in ****, I could root for the gators.
