Don't matter what he or Kirby Smart wants, the game ain't leaving Jacksonville in our lifetime so idk why they keep bringing this up. Jax will do everything to keep the game in Jax and that's going to be what happens.

Does Jax have a contract with both schools and the SEC to have the rights to this game? When is it up for renewal?

Why does Jax have any say in the matter.
If they schools want to change it nothing they can do.

That’s because I’ll bet Florida doesn’t want it to leave Jax… but how does Jax get to dictate that?? Also the revenue for a game like that in either Gainesville or Athens would be tremendous

They don’t, they have the same power and authority as your local PTA.
They have no say, it’s up to the schools.
It’s been played in Jax for so long, mostly due to tradition.
Tradition’s are being broken like crazy in college football, would not be surprised GA says no way anymore and it goes to home n home.

Contract ends in 2023, schools have the option for two more years through 2025.
Well now that’s interesting. @flagator86 I’m sure Jax pays a pretty penny to have this. Brings in a lot of revenue to the city. But Smart is right in that it does put GA at a disadvantage with 1 less home game to have recruits at. At what point can GA make enough from hosting every other year to not want to resign with Jax.

So no one is gonna point out that their “star all American heisman Aaron Rodger lite cam Newton quarterback” Anthony Richardson is driving a Camry and TVD is driving a 7 series bmw?

It also hurts Florida too... thats why I was saying why wouldn't they want to be able to host recruits on campus for a big game??

I would be ****ed if Miami and FSU decided to play in Orlando every year... I love the home and home
