Please stop with the "socialism" nonsense, I'd be willing to bet you can't even orally explain what "socialism" is (hint, it's NOT communism, and don't run off to Google either).
"Everyone should get a piece of the pie" is a perfectly understandable concept IN A TEAM SPORT. No matter what Tom Brady's "work ethic" and "good ideas" and "willingness to fail" are, you cannot deny that he is assisted in his job by linemen and receivers and running backs. Nobody has said "pay everyone equally", but there should be some sort of a concept that every starter on the team is doing SOMETHING that creates value, even if some guys are the "glory boys" with all the stats, and others do the grunt work of blocking and whatnot.
Unless a particular player brings something bizarrely different to the table (like the Cavinder twins with their already-existing social media following), then we should encourage a system where all of the contributors benefit, some more than others. I don't think there's a single OL who would begrudge the QB earning more, but if the QB was getting $8 million and the OL was getting nothing, there would absolutely be resentment.
Now, if you are capable of going out on the field and scoring 30 points per game all by yourself, then by all means, be selfish and ask for all the money. Until then, it's not some big personal insult if the other 10 guys on offense get paid too.
