I could really see Florida playing a ton of contain in hopes of MAKING our offense beat them. Their depth on d is scary in a bad way.
They're ultra-thin on the DL, at DB, and at Safety. The only position they have any depth at is at linebacker, which isn't saying much because they're quite average. All in all, this is a terrible development for them, and could not come at a worse possible time. All the best to Conliffe though, I hope this isn't a career-ender for him. He got a lot of reps last year and would've been a big impact player.

Ok I'm gonna say this now....

Our Oline has been going up against our Dline now everyday in practice. Our Dline imo and not being homerish is way way way better than their Dline.

I expect our Oline especially the interior to hold up well and be able to generate a nice push for the run game. Obviously we have to watch the ends especially in pass protection but no one on their Dline worries me.

They are so ultra thin on their line they are not gonna be able to afford any mistakes. Gonna be very interesting to see how much Grantham blitzes now. He loves to bring his DB on blitzes but will he leave them on an island with their safeties who are not that good. I dont think he will....meaning imo get ready to see Brevin and Mallory go pull their linebackers in 20 different directions.

One of many reasons that I love Manny going 1s vs 1s and 2s vs 2s.

Look at this OL "analysis" by GaytorBill (Bill Sikes):

"I want to see the OL hold their own, particularly at tackle – Remember 30 seconds ago when you were reading about the importance of Franks putting up big numbers this year? Well, that won’t happen if UF’s rebuilt OL can’t keep him on his feet.

Having lost 4 starters from 2018, this year’s unit has a lot to prove. And while early returns on the new starters have been largely positive, it’s almost show time. I don’t expect perfection or late season cohesion, but the O-line, especially tackles Stone Forsythe and Jean Delance, need to prove that they can slow down the pass rush.

Against Miami, that could be more complicated than it seems.

Delance is dealing with an injury that may or may not allow him to play. According to the depth chart released by UF on Monday, true freshman Michael Tarquin is the next man up.

Moreover, the listed 2nd team OL includes 2 true freshmen, 1 redshirt freshman, 1 redshirt sophomore, and 1 junior (former walk-on Tanner Rowell). It’s important for these starters to play well, because there’s a lot of youth behind them."

So he uses cliches like "this year's unit has a lot to prove" and "it's important for these starters to play well", and while he seems to be honest when listing the experience levels of the backups (2 true FR, 1 RS FR, 1 RS SOPH, and a Walk-on JR), he doesn't seem to be concerned about what it will mean to actually PLAY those guys.

I am telling you, if Delance doesn't play, it is going to go downhill fast for the Gaytors O. At least with Miami's freshmen OTs, they have beaten out more senior competition. The young Gaytors OL reserves have not proven themselves, and it is crazy to just list a few names and act as if depth is not a problem for the Gaytors.

I posted this elsewhere, but it's apropos here.

Game 2 for them is UT-Martin. Game 3 for them is Kentucky, and that's a conference game. They're already expected to drop 2-4 conference games.

That said their school penalties for marijuana are:
First offense: counseling
Second offense: suspension for 10% of season
Third offense: suspension for 20% of season
Fourth offense: off the team

For other drugs:
First offense: suspension for 25% of season
Second offense: off the team

NCAA violation is:
First offense: 50% of season
Second offense: 365 days from date of test.

Likely their best Safety (Brad Stewart) is suspended as well (hasn't been announced yet, but the rumors have been swirling and my lizard friend tells me it's a done deal behind the scenes).

I looked at Phil Steele’s depth chart for their DL

Zuniga - starter, good player
Ancrum - possible suspension
Zachary Carter - End will have to be moved to tackle most likely
Campbell - starter, solid, not spectacular. Already hurt in camp, likely to play
Conliffe — out for the year
Langham — transferred to Vandy
Rowell — Walk-on
Gordon — walk-on
Shuler — starter, solid
Slaton — possible suspension
Dunlap — career backup

Wow. 11 bodies in the spring. If the suspensions are true, they’re down to 7 with 2 of them being walk-ons. Literally 5 scholarship defensive linemen. Ruh roh.

They will dial up quick bubble screens and plays to get the ball out of Franks hands quickly if that's the case

you forgot the kid from Lousiville, Greenard. I think he might give us more problems than Zuniga. Campbell is gonna have his hands full.
