Game 4: 2/18/25 FAU 6:30 PM 2-1 L (3-1)

I have 11 graduates currently playing in college, including four P4 players. I know the current landscape of baseball, thank you.

No one said to fire him after one loss. We said don't hire him to begin with, because this is the kind of loss you will get. Big difference. And yes, the educated people wanted DiMare out because he was the de facto head coach when we blew the regional streak and then stumbled through his entire tenure without getting out of a regional. "He donated his salary" isn't a reason to keep a failed coach.

I'll turn it back on you. What is it about J.D. Arteaga that makes you think he can get us back to (1) automatic regional bids, (2) regular Super Regional appearances, and (3) occasional CWS berths? Show your work, and how he fits right in with the "current landscape".
I agree with everything you’re saying, but can you honestly say that the candidates that weren’t Miami affiliated when the job was open that we heard about were that much better than JD? (Walter, Pollard) I think both are only slightly above average

I think Pollard would be an upgrade, but Walters I don't know that he's that good, he wasn't winning all that much until he hired some really good assistants.

Yeah Walters is a bit more uncertain.

Pollard is legit. Hes done more at Duke in his years than the previous 80 years combined. I think he’s ready for change too because he may have taken Duke about as far as you can take that program.

I’m still all in on Scott Brown though.

Brown would be a massive upgrade over our current head coach.
